Why call it "repression" when you try to help some lunatic understand they're not the "wrong" sex? How is that repression? If you are born male, you cannot ever be a woman under any circumstances. Nothing whatsoever can change that, ever. Wanting to be a woman despite that fact is mental illness. You treat illnesses, you don't "repress the symptoms."

Doesn't mean "slice you up"; it generally means "socially transition." Probably does mean "go ahead and take hormones," but you don't want these people breeding anyway.

"Socially transition" means "be a transvestite who demands access to women's restrooms." The "socially transitioning" imbeciles are the ones causing most of the trouble -- they don't want to bother getting the snip but they still want everyone to treat them like they have. Bathroom access "rights" and all.

Gender isn't a spectrum. It's literally binary. Male or female. There's no in-between. A "non-conforming individual" is a person suffering from mental illness.

Minimizing the harm to such individuals involves helping them to understand and accept their own goddamn biology. Anything else is an indulgence of a fantasy that can never be realized, which leads to increasing frustration and disappointment when efforts to "make it happen" inevitably fail.

Creepy bathroom behavior is unacceptable regardless of sex. Bottom surgery doesn't entitle you to use the opposite bathroom so you can satisfy your own deviant cravings.

As a point to make that there appear to have been transsexuals throughout history, not just for convenience (women wearing men's clothes so they could go to war, etc). Then again Jeanne d'Arc was obviously a transman else she would not have been persecuted by the Church, and had nothing to do with a rather brutal war going on at the time between England and France...
