God. I had a period where I was basically a house husband. I lived with a girlfriend for a while who had a very well paying job. So, I did all of the cleaning, house work, garden work, cooking, putting stuff together, lawn care, taking care of her birds.

Like, basically traditional gender roles reversed and it was not easy work. Even if I wasn't the money maker, there was a sense of pride of just how much work that you put in to make the other person's life just a bit easier.
