I've read this a while back, so my memory isn't very fresh, and I don't really care to look exact details up.

This is something I try to do and it’s one of the few things I will (gently and kindly and in private) pull people up on when they work for me. I tell them to stop putting themselves in that default position of being wrong, by starting every refusal with an apology and a justification. NO is a complete sentence. It is OK to say no. It is OK to refuse.
Stop fucking apologising and stop justifying. It puts you in a weak position, makes you vulnerable to people piling work on you, and treating you like shit. When people hear a justification spiel, subconsciously they hear you apologising for something YOU did wrong.
Apologies are for when you’ve genuinely fucked up or done something you shouldn’t have (and when admitting blame won’t get you screwed.) at that point, apologise and people will respect your honesty. But I see so many (mainly women) having this default position of them being wrong.
I also read that article and I thought the guy’s ‘I give no fucks about your feelings’ attitude was spot on. No real feelings have been hurt here, they’ve tried to manipulate and extort and he’s told them to fuck right the way off. Well done sir, enjoy your degenerate chemsex party free from any vag.
