I think this has to do with the high correlation of autism within the troon and poon demographic. Autists are atypical specimens, and this extends beyond surface level interactions. They can feel disgust, but what they're disgusted by is going to be different from the average normie.

The internet has exasperated this by putting autists in touch with other autists. Things like "diaper furs" likely existed before the advent of the internet, but it was a phenomena contained to individuals or select small groups. At best there might have been a patchwork network of communication, or maybe even a newsletter/journal that circulated, but the potential to let one's fetishistic desires dominate their lives would obviously have been much reduced.

I think an inversion of values takes hold of the fetishist such that the deeper they delve into their vice the more disgusted they become with normal society.
