I basically only wear bralettes anymore for exactly this reason. My chest is pretty wide-set and while they look pretty big and shapely when I'm topless, when I'm wearing a quote-unquote 'real bra' they get pushed together to an almost unnatural look. There are bra brands out there that sit right on me, but they're few and far between so I mainly stick with the bralettes or tops with a built-in bra and some kind of thin pad to cover my nipples so they aren't poking through all the time.

Not transfem myself, but I've helped some transfems experiment with bra sizing. Some people find it helpful fit-wise to go down a cup size or two from the size they're "supposed" to be. It can help compensate for the difference in spacing. I think this is more common knowledge these days, but it might be worth a try for anyone who hasn't already given it a go.

guess what? that doesnt work. because im too wide (and fat), theres no bigger band size to go up and no other cup size to go down. the widest bra with the smallest available cups? just straight up dont work for me. theyre not wide enough, the cups are too big, and the cups are simply not at the correct positions. i already tried specialty plus-size shops. the reality is there is simply no options for bras available for some transfem bodies. aside from like oversized sports bras
