LMAO. Yes, everyone can tell you are just a woman trying to LARP as a man after a second glance, but I'm also guessing 99% of her problem is people are trying to placate her and failing. Pre-2015 or so, a butch lesbian would likely get extremely offended if a customer came up behind them with "Excuse me, sir" because they weren't really paying attention and just saw a fat, short-haired person stocking a shelf. But now the *exact same look* is no longer defined as a "she" butch lesbian half the time, but rather non-binary, they/them, he/him or whatever. Your average person that wants to placate these weirdos probably is trying to be polite by "misgendering" half the time. They can clearly see what you are but still have no idea what to call you.

I feel like some old-fashioned analysis would do some of these people a world of good.
"Soooooo... tell me about your father. Uh huh... and your mother? Do you have any brothers and sisters? Aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews? Okay, now tell me about your grandparents."
Their ideas of what a man should be and what a woman should be are not based in how people actually behave in real life and I think a huge amount of it comes from movies and porn. And it's not just the idea of gender but how people in real life try to enforce but also subvert gender for themselves and people around them.
Like I don't want to powerlevel too much but seeing and hearing about certain family members being bullied by other family members for not living up to their gendered expectations I think knocked a lot of the gender shit out of my own head.
God, here's a powerlevel and you can TMI rate me for it: When my uncle was in high school, his grandpa came for a visit and told my uncle that he had to leave home and make his own way in the world. He was a burden on his mother, you see. Grandpa Fuzz came from an age when you could finish school after 8th grade and go learn a trade. He also came from an age where food scarcity meant that leaving home would mean more food on the table for his seven brothers and sisters. The idea that a young man could be all of SIXTEEN and living at home and not working... what a leech on the collective ass of society. (Note that my uncle's older sister didn't get this lecture, just the boy. And also note that my uncle wasn't a burden on his father, but just his mother. There are layers of gender shit to pick apart here.)
So KiwiFuzz the analyst would listen to a story like that from a troon and ask if a more masculine uncle would have followed that advice and packed his shit, or if Uncle Fuzz was a pussy for loitering around his parents' long enough to graduate high school.
Real-life gender rebellion looks less like Arya Stark and more like deciding that grandpa's full of shit sometimes.

The exact opposite happened to my aunt. My grandparents' farm was failing, and they were at the point where they couldn't afford to feed all the kids. So they decided to pull my fourteen year old aunt out of school, and send her to the nearest large town to work. They found her a little room and she sent all her pay home to her parents and siblings. My uncles were obliged to hang around much longer, because my grandparents needed them for labour, and unlike hiring a labourer, all they had to do was feed and clothe my uncles.
My grandparents were not bad people or horrible parents in any shape, manner or form. A bad year or a virus hitting their cows was absolutely devastating to the point where the whole family would end up going hungry for months. Survival was a pretty grim affair even as recently the 1950s. All this gender roles shit... well, it was about survival. Men are physically stronger so they laboured, and women and girls would help with the milking before going back and keeping the house for the rest of the day. And keeping house was work, especially when very few people in the district could afford a fancy thing called a washing machine and all meals were made from scratch.
All this 'gender roles' business is bullshit. Modern technology has liberated pretty much everything except direct physical labour. People now can do anything they want with their lives, and they're using their lives to obsess about their facial hair and their genitals.

I think it's that last part that truly keeps them in denial. Realizing you don't pass is hard. Realizing that all of your friends and family have been lying to you for months or years must be unbearable. So to avoid making that leap, they keep themselves in this illogical limbo of "I pass most of the time, but somehow every customer that walks into my workplace knows that I am female."

You can't find tutorials on how to do it anymore. Try. Try finding a tutorial or a diagram on how to wrap breasts in a way where it isn't FtM or enby binding, especially large breasts. It's near impossible.
You can find infographics on how to gird your loins, but not how to make an emergency "bra".
