And for something more Touhou-relevant, remember when people here thought 2hu was dead 5 years ago?? That was page 4 and now we're at page 116.

You don't hate oldfags enough

Since I grew up with a copy of Mean Bean Machine, I have the exact opposite problem. While I'm not up-to-par with the Japanese autists who can build 15-chain structures in the blink of an eye, I do know some chain-building fundamentals that allows me to quickly and efficiently crush the Story Mode AI, especially in the first game where counter-chaining doesn't exist. (There's a reason why Tsu is the competitive standard)

Meanwhile, back in the day when I bought Puyo Puyo Tetris for the Switch, I had to start taking the Pity Skips on any level that forced me to play Tetris because my retarded ass simply cannot into Tetris. I'm already dogshit at the solitaire experience, but asking me do so as a means of fighting an opponent? I'll pass, thanks.
the best advice ive been given for tetris is BUILD UP!!!
leave a 1-wide hole for the long bar and just build up, with the right odds you can even get 3 tetrises in a row
i got S+ rank in tetr.io this way (and sometimes doing tspins when i see the opportunity)

sometimes i wish it was dead..... at least in the west

I understand the basic concept, it's just I don't have the experience to execute it efficiently. Even when I'm playing slowly, I end up with an uneven structure that's hard to play around, ending up with gaps, and with PPT adding the time pressure of an opponent, I was pretty much destined for failure.

Meanwhile, my advice for Puyo is to pick up Puyo Puyo/Mean Bean Machine/Kirby's Avalanche and learn to build a structure like this as quickly as you can:

All you have to do at this point is drop pieces until you get your yellow and drop it in the right column. Since there's no counter-chaining in OG Puyo, this is pretty much guaranteed to kill the AI, or at least set them back significantly so you can do it again. With enough practice, this can result in victory in about 15-25 seconds.

Building it taller like this makes it deadlier.

While building extra colors on top of it like this makes it reversible incase the original direction you built gets blocked for some reason (Special shout-outs to the Sun Puyo from SUN for blocking my chains every single fucking time)

Kiwi oldfags or Touhou oldfags? Because I'm definitely the latter if that's what you meant, and I'm still here...:heart-full: The newest game when I first joined was Ten Desires.

the other great advice that follows the first one is not to think
"i see hole i fill hole"
when playing ranked im deadass thinking about everything BUT the game
unless im close to topping out, then i switch gears to puzzle game mode

but i havent played tetris in a good while (like a year or two)

Fun fact: I don't know how many of you caught it from the screenshot in this post, but the file structure of the PC-98 games is where the circle IOSYS derives its name from. This is reinforced by the fact that their videos contain several PC-98 character cameos in videos like Alice -> Dere and Artificial Children.

Ahh, help me guys! I'm being engulfed in spiritual warfare because I'm listening to songs about lesbians! It's corrupting my soul and forcing me to admit that I pulled my pud to lolicon at a young age!

wtf are you talking about you're not S+

Bara, you say? 👀

I'll bite the bullet and download it and get back to you. Shame it looks like it's only got three stages. Ah it's a demo.
@Colress Okay, I played it. Shamefully it seems I am a normalscrub when it comes to this particular game, but it feels like this dev tends to throw out some cheap moves like bullets appearing out of nowhere or almost seamlessly blending into the background. The dev has a thing for buff felines and the occasional magical girl if their previous game is anything to go by.

The story outlined in the manual is that a power struggle to invoke Ragnarok (nods to the Norse mythos in the stage 2 and 3 bosses, Loki and Jormungandr, respectively) broke out in the holy land of Elysium, which has an avatar that is the second playable character. Apparently these fights aren't rare, but something about this one "doesn't feel right", so he asks his brother Claude to investigate. The third playable character is a kuudere named Aniel, who is annoyed that this investigation is eating into her Claude time. Personality-wise I prefer Aniel as she has the most deadpan responses to the bosses so far.

This you?
https://youtube.com/watch?v=vF3f0vgPJ50"And Miss Circle's right there." Sure looks like your avatar to me.

There's even a Baldi cosplayer in the crowd, which your avatar is a reference to.

Oops. Should've lurked harder, newfag.
You do realize that Miss Circle is one of the main antagonists of Fundamental Paper Education, which from what I gather is a Baldi's Basics AU or something, right? I don't see how some Elsagate-tier channel having the youths' flavor of the month character on it is enough to pin them as the same guy. Do you have more connective tissue than just that?
Edit: apparently it's a Youtube animated series that just happens to have the whole evil school thing going on that Baldi's Basics does and that's why they're paired together sometimes. I think.
Edit to the edit: never mind. It's a Baldi's-Basics-esque game based off of a single video that blew up like 2 years ago and then got everything else built up around it. Apparently the creator freaked out because she was frankly way too young for the amount of Internet fame that got heaped on her. I've seen some users with this stuff as their profile pictures before, but I was under the impression it was something much more recent.
