TORRID TRY-ON HAUL!!!!! MARCH 2019 3/5/19 - Bedsheet galore.

"Size 6" she says without a hint of understanding that it means XXXXXXL. Vanity sizing drives me crazy it makes it so hard for anyone to find properly fitting clothes without multiple try-ons. Amber gets around it by buying the largest possible stretchy spandex whale tarps, meanwhile I'm swimming in pair of adult "small" leggings right now. I don't say this to powerlevel, I'm just frustrated that clothes marked small are made for not smalls who want an ego boost. Amber getting to call her clothes a size 6 instead of a 30 gives her the same effect.

An interesting post from the comment section on that topic. Can't speak to its validity, though.

What if one day, plus size is the norm and are the “regular” sizes, and the straight sizes are all in negative numbers? For instance, 2x would just be a 2, but a size 2 would be something like -8. Then, stores could stop selling straight sizes except in specialty stores. People like Big Al would feel even more normal!

What if... we're still getting pre-recorded videos... :O

I admit I actually went to the Torrid site yesterday, because I thought the hoodie might be a nice comfy one I could get cheap in a big size to wear around the house. I couldn't find a trace of it, or a couple other pieces of the clothes Amber got, which makes me think this is definitely older than we're being led to believe.

Here's the moon sleeve hooded shirt.

No one who is a legit size 6 is going to pick up a Torrid size 6 without realizing something's amiss. No need to try it on to figure that out
No, it was more a rant about how vanity sizing makes clothes shopping in general inconvenient. When pants that are labeled "small" are too big for a small. For sure six of me could fit in an Amber shirt.

isn't torrid clothes already like that? their size 00 says m/l but it's more like a xl in regular sizes.
