In this timeline? Shit, I'll gladly take late 90s, 2000s Americano.
It's the main thing I'm looking forward to for the 2020s is nostalgia and revivals of late 90s and 2000s stuff, like this.

I can't wait to see the sales numbers after the first month and see how it compares to Nintendo's skateboard game with birds.

pirate the pc version or wait on a steam release. then mod the songs back in as they patch them out. you'll have to do that from the beginning anyways, there's no way this is gonna have the full soundtrack from the start. for the console version I think ps4 and xbone both do that thing where you can use your own audio files to replace the soundtrack but I've never tried it.I'm not hopeful. GTA was ruined by the ability to patch out songs after the fact when the licenses lapsed and Activision is not above that. Sure you'll be singing "well here I am... doing everything I can..." but come back next year and I'll bet that song will have mysteriously disappeared from the rotation.
Plus reverts ruined Tony Hawk. Turns the entire session into one dull combo.
Agreed, custom soundtracks/modding would likely work well for this since there's no song looping from cues. Way back with the first Xbox the custom soundtracks fit into some games if you didn't mind manually tagging the ripped files. Obviously a whole lot easier on PC, but I've already got Steam and one launcher is already too many.pirate the pc version or wait on a steam release. then mod the songs back in as they patch them out. you'll have to do that from the beginning anyways, there's no way this is gonna have the full soundtrack from the start. for the console version I think ps4 and xbone both do that thing where you can use your own audio files to replace the soundtrack but I've never tried it.

These contracts are usually a year, so it should be up Sept 4th. If it goes to Steam or Battle.net like Crash 4 we'll see.Almost a year later and there is still no Steam release or a crack, i want to play it, but fuck buying it on the Epic Store.
for a skateboarding game the physics are so abysmalThose parks look dead as fuck.
Who thought skateboarding birds in social work buildings would be fun?
Edit: sleep deprived posting ffs
I can also confirm that the physics are absolutely terrible for this since I played the steam demo, I would describe them as having moon gravity on in THUG but with an even slower descend making the only reliable thing to do is to jump off of pipesfor a skateboarding game the physics are so abysmal
Seems they wanted to do Tony Hawk style physics but had no idea how to, so they just used Unity's default physics instead.I can also confirm that the physics are absolutely terrible for this since I played the steam demo, I would describe them as having moon gravity on in THUG but with an even slower descend making the only reliable thing to do is to jump off of pipes
That's why all you see in the trailer is the bird jumping and flailing around while it jankily spins around because apparently they kept that lolwacky indie game thing of the bird having physics while in the air, no sir it's not good at all
Then they couldn't make the level design fun around it so they just added waaaacky physics to the birds themselves, it's only going to infuriate people trying to make combos and then the stupid bird will tilt for no reason and it won't registerSeems they wanted to do Tony Hawk style physics but had no idea how to, so they just used Unity's default physics instead.
Yeah, they don't seem to actually understand game design and just wanna bank on a funny concept. Then they couldn't make the level design fun around it so they just added waaaacky physics to the birds themselves, it's only going to infuriate people trying to make combos and then the stupid bird will tilt for no reason and it won't register
I really like it on my Xbox One X, runs and plays perfectly. I just wish I could just play it in my PC. It sucks that this is yet another Tony Hawk game that isn't on Steam. Fuck Epic poaching games for their Chinese spyware platform.so I bought Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 on Switch and my reaction has been:

The input lag is noticeable, and it's an ass-ugly port in that it's so obvious that they just downscaled and stripped out whatever they needed to get it running well enough on the Switch. Also, the right joy-con is by nature uncomfortable for THPS in that the right stick really gets in the way. The soundtrack also brings back most of the OSTs from the original releases, but also includes a bunch of zoomer rap which really sticks out like a sore thumb. Thankfully, you can disable songs on a piecemeal basis, but this is a game for 30 year old boomers. You couldn't have used that money to license, I dunno, Wee Man again?
The game's also permanently exclusive to Epic Store on PC, so, no Steam ever, apparently. Looks like nobody ever properly cracked it, either, and like even the Fitgirl Repack is just the Switch version running in an emulator.
This game sucks but I still want to play it and have it be good, so I guess I'll just, uh, buy a used Xbox One disc, eventually. But if I got it and played it on my 2013 Xbox One right now, I'll probably run into the same kinda problems as I had on the Switch version, because older models of the Xbox One run newer games like total ass. So, I guess I'll play it on a Series X, whenever I can get ahold of one of those, someday. What a miserable situation.
I just want a new game with original levels that build off the 1+2 foundation.I'm hoping 3 + 4 will be announced soon. I'm thinking it might have been during the Dewrito Pope show, but Activision has apparently pulled out.

There's THUG Pro, but yeah, it would be nice to get something customizable in a newer engine.I just want a new game with original levels that build off the 1+2 foundation.
I'd also like a level editor with custom goals and gaps you can submit online to basically make Tony Hawk forever.
I was wondering about the Switch version, glad to know it's not worth it, seems like anything UE4 looks like shit on Switch like The Outer Worlds.so I bought Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 on Switch and my reaction has been:

I doubt it, Activision doesn't seem to care anymore about Tony Hawk.I'm hoping 3 + 4 will be announced soon. I'm thinking it might have been during the Dewrito Pope show, but Activision has apparently pulled out.
