That's true. But at least Mormons are generally nice. Black Hebrew Israelites are complete assholes in public.

But the similarity I was referring to was the revisionist Christianity of Jesus having come to the Americas and preaching to Indians.

Huh, I wonder if there might be a common root in the nonconformist theologies that grew out of the Burned-Over District.
 
Today I emptied my aquarium and dumped the substrate because it was just becoming a cesspool of waste and was a hassle to clean. No matter how well I cleaned the bottom, there were so many places I couldn't reach because of my driftwood and hides. My poor girl has gotten cloudy eye twice and it's just not worth it anymore. I painted the back and the bottom black and I potted my cryptocoryne to be transplanted into my 5.5 gallon tomorrow. The whole endeavor took almost all day, but I'm glad I got it done. My fish is going to appreciate having a cleaner tank, and I finally have an excuse to set up my 5.5 gallon shrimp colony.
 
I managed to finish all the finals I had left for this semester. By fall, I should really start getting all the classes for my major out of the way. Being in college 3-4 years should be over already but it isn't. That's the price for not knowing what the hell I should of gone for when I started off.
 
Today I'm forcing myself to go without sleep so that I can get back on a normal schedule and not sleep through the important appointment I have tomorrow afternoon.
 
Today I got the thorn out of my foot, despite the doctor insisting that it probably wasn't there. It looks like you'd expect a thorn to.
 
Coloured one artwork, drew two A3 comic pages in pencil, just finished on A4 comic page in ink.

Any procrastination guilt has been excorcised for the day. I can have lunch now.
 
Today I was diagnosed with TMJD (essentially, my jaw joint is fucked up because I clench my teeth in my sleep due to stress). (:_(
 
Today, I worked on a paper, and started reading another book, and fixed my daughter's phone, and took the kids to McDonald's, and paid a bill.

Well I got a D+ in that course I was worried about instead of the C- I was hoping for. So no credit for that. That's what I get for slacking off in even the slightest! No worries. I'll retake that class as an online summer course and get my diploma once and for all.

So I contacted my academic adviser and it looks like I actually did graduate this semester! By the skin of my teeth, since my major GPA is kind of shitty because of poverlevel reasons. But I can now move on with my life! Yay! My diploma should come in the mail mid-July. :biggrin:

Now to look for a job in my field...
 
Today I decided to change my diet. I'm committed to eating healthier and becoming more active. I'm keeping track of what I'm eating now. I'm about 70 lbs over what I weighed in high school and I kind of hope to get down to that weight again before my reunion in a couple of years. I'm going to be getting a membership at the local rec center and hope to get down to around 190-200 lbs (losing 20-30 lbs) by the time I get back to school.

I've also started getting ready for the PCAT, which is basically like the MCAT, but for pharmacy school.

Good luck man! I've been in a similar position with wanting to become more physically active and watching what I eat and drink a lot more. This gym I've been going to lately has been a great experience so far and I've found it to be a good stress reliever too. I've even been sleeping better as well.

Thanks. I've noticed when I was working out, I was feeling better and sleeping better. I usually do well for about a month but I just have difficulty sticking it through. Hopefully that won't be the case this time.
