Can I suggest Monty Python's God shouting "Get on with it!" as the TL;DR image?

RPG Codex has one so I am on board.

Similarly, still waiting for the cuck rating.
You're thinking of Jake Rapp's face. :suffering:

i dont think this will be a good idea because often ratings are a good way of assessing whether or not a tl;dr post is actually worth reading. everyone can take one look at a post and tell it's too long. but it's very useful to see at the bottom of a long post whether it's informative or autistic

I would use this rating all the time in the Glip thread cuz people like to spout a bunch of already-said paragraphs about how they're offended by Glip's actions and how she's a bad person.

Should be kept out of A&H since that place actually flourishes from long, in-depth posts. But it would especially be useful in places like disco (even if I ended up getting a few)

What, you don't like in depth ponderings about Chris' taint? You didn't enjoy that? I will accuse you of lies in that case.

I feel that would discourage people from actually taking the time to write long and meticulous posts. Especially since it's a rating which judges the quantity of the content in the post, rather than the content itself.

I do like the idea of a "get on with it!" rating, though. Maybe call it "GOWI" or something. It can be used for posts that are longwinded without a genuine payoff, or when people do that obnoxious thing where they'll hint and tease some major bombshell rather than just posting something of any value. It didn't take too long to whip out a rating-sized icon:

Nah I think every forum should have this.

If you can’t condense your post to a viewable format then don’t post it. There’s already so much information to keep up with.

Not to mention, every lolcow topic suffers from posts that “rhyme” with each other. They aren’t the same word for word, but they are basically the same format and content, from page 1 to page 100. To the point you read one post, you have read 1000 others just like it

I feel that would discourage people from actually taking the time to write long and meticulous posts.

That's why it should be left out of places where it would be more abused than used, like A&H and maybe Deep Thoughts

Yeah but the TL;DR could work well for bad long posts. After all, it's not uncommon that someone writes a page long response to something, and it's basically just a fluff piece without substance. Good long posts tend to get winner/agree ratings.

I'd be totally on board with a cuck rating as well. Not sure who the ultimate cuck to decorate said rating would be tho.
