Threadmarks

Hey, has anyone thought about implementing a Thread mark system, like some other forums have? It would allow the OP or admins to 'mark' any individual post in a thread, with a unique title, and all such marked posts are selectable from a drop-down menu at the top of the thread.

This could make some if the 100+ page threads easier to navigate, so that all the important updates can be threadmarked. That will save people the trouble of combing backwards through a bunch of commentary every time a thread explodes after new information to find the actual content. It would probably cut down on "Hey guys I missed this what happened?" Type posts too, all for a lot less effort on an admin/OP's part than writing and updating a wiki page. Please consider.

I like the idea but I think it should automatically occur for posts by ratings too

I agree with the stipulation it should only be for posts with many informative ratings. Any other kind of post and the ratings farming will only get worse.
