I've enjoyed Warhammer Fantasy since late 90's when it was a niche hobby for nerds. It got killed around 2013 with a last shitty cycle of books and later I could continue to enjoy it in peace without fucking zoomers injecting it with hiv. I'm glad, cause Warhammer 40k is still going, infected with aids, as a bit less faggy version of Marvel. Lesbians in space basically.

I'm not a 40k fan. I've never seen any lore nor have I played anything 40k related. Having no horse in the race, I think that makes he qualified to say this:

This just sounds like gatekeeping one's enjoyment because they aren't doing it exactly how you want them to. If it was something that had more mainstream appeal, like Harry Potter book readers versus movie watchers, would it be any different? No. It's still gatekeeping for retarded reasons.

Just agree to disagree and let them enjoy whatever it is differently than you.

To be fair, the game is very hard to get into. Not only is it a large investment financially but you have to dedicate yourself to play for the next 2-3 hours. Not to mention your local game store quality may vary. I had fun the first few times with my friends but it's not an easy game to get into and it was too much work to recommend to most people. The lore by contrast is actually fun.
