You ever notice how most of his Admirable Animations are about super saccharine, 'emotional' episodes? Rarely does he praise something simply because it's funny.
Like he could do an Admirable Animation of any early "Road to..." episode of Family Guy. Hell, even the newer "Road to..." episodes are pretty damn good.

@Piga Dgrifm: He has a strong sentimental streak, akin to a Victorian novel writer at their worst.

And you wonder - where is the praise for great cartoons on a competence level? "Stimpy's Invention" is one of the greatest made for TV toons. They took a year to work on it and it shows. But NO, he'd prefer stuff that jerks his tears...

@Aobozu: I could believe it.

Now, here is a question... We all know he's a big fan of Courage the Cowardly Dog, right?

How would he react if he saw "The Dirdy Birdy"?

I didn't know about the existence of this cartoon.

Thanks for telling me about it. That was one of the most wonderfully silly things I've ever seen.

@The Jumping Dwarf: If I manage to spread the word of terrific animation like that, I've done my job.

The early episodes of Family Guy, incidentally, were the funniest: you watch them and you see why the show was revived in the first place. Peter Griffin's take on "The King and I" was one of the funniest things I've ever seen...
