I'm not sure if any of you are actually going to care enough about theme parks to post in this thread regularly, but... I don't know, figured I might as well make one.

So! To start this thread off, what are your favorite theme park rides of all time?

Horizons 4 lyfe.
Mission Space a shit.

The only good theme park in Canada is Canada's Wonderland. Every other park is shit or Marineland which is ultra shit

bring wonders of life back disney, Body Wars was fucking lit.

same with Horizons bring that back, fuck you mission SPACE, at least Horizons never killed anyone or made them throw up

replacing it with Stitch's Great Escape was like getting kicked in the balls.
I agree, the orginal ride seemed a whole lot more enjoyable

Trust me, I want on Stitch during my first visit to Disney World and no one in my family enjoyed it, and that chili dog smell, oh my god that was nasty..

But thankfully its in seasonal operation so hopefully it'll be gone soon and replaced with something else

Stitch's great escape is a fucking plight upon this world because when I went on it when I was like 10 I was scarred for life even though I told my father I didn't want to go on it because it was going to be scary and he got pissed and told me "nothing at disney is supposed to be scary"

It was scary as shit and literally painful when the shoulder things pressed down on you and crushed your fucking bones

Yeah as far as I've heard Stitch's Great Escape isn't too long for this world.

Alien Encounter was pretty cool. I liked the Tim Curry asshole robot. That whole Tomorrowland revamp was neat, especially for all the Church of the Subgenius references they buried in it.

Also the original English dub of Timekeeper was cool. Original English they did for Eurodisney was more a normal "dad" voice like Carousel Of Progress or Horizons instead of Robin Williams.

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. It scared me when I was little (I hated 3D back then) but I grew to love it when we went back some years later. I wish they hadn't decided to update the graphics and music though, the originals added to the charm of the cheesy voice acting.

As for general rides, I've always been a fan of the swings and carousels.

I can relate. I was such a pussy and crybaby as a kid that I refused to go on most rides, which eventually pissed off my mom who complained that she couldn't have any fun because of me, and I was inevitably dragged on some.

I'm still mad that theres no back to the future ride anymore, what pisses me off even more is that in Japan fucking minions replaced it.

I'm also salty that universal studios japan has a JoJo 4D show for a limited time

Got any footage where the person recording it isn't watching fucking Wheel of Fortune in the background? Never mind, found some myself.

That is really horrifying. This is why I hate rides. They scare me. The big high ones mostly. Because this could happen. Sow someone is dead and there will be lawsuits.

I'm one of those people where rides all seem to make me nauseous. I feel like Filbert from Rocko's Modern Life. When I was a kid we used to go to Dorney Park. But my mom never let us ride the water rides. Except for that one time I didn't want to go because it was way too hot and I wanted to stay home and watch TV in the air conditioning.:'(

Went to Six Flags a few times. But I can't remember anything about it. Maybe I liked Dorney Park more.

I liked TropWorld. But I mainly played arcade games. My aunt with big money had a ton of comps from the casino. That's how they get people to keep coming back.

I always liked the carousel. I'm such a ride wuss. One thing I actually enjoyed was this ride called The Himalaya. I think it's usually called something else now. But you went inside this room and there were all these spinning round cars you sat in. And all of these trippy lights would go on and it played generic metal music. No idea why I was into that one so much.

Hey, completely unrelated question to what's been talked about. I don't know if you guys are that interested in the industry itself, but had Hurricane Katrina not done as much damage to Six Flags New Orleans as it did, where do you think the park would've ended up today? My best guess is that it would've been sold off along with the other small parks around 2007/2008 and possibly returned to the Jazzland name.

I think I saw a video of some guys exploring the ruins of it.

As for getting your XX ripped off in a ride I used to put my hands up in the air on Space Mountain until I did it going into a tunnel and slapped the fuck out of a lot of wall.
