The Worst Video Game OST You've Ever Heard

That's a parody of the real one
The good news is that someone went through the effort to "fix" the 32X port of Doom, including making the music sound fucking awesome. I talked about it in this post.

Thread Tax: I love how so many people are posting songs made by professional studios. While there are certainly some good contenders in here (Looking at you, Sonic Chronicles), many of these seem subject to personal taste that it's difficult for me to really say they're "the worst."

What can I say is "the worst"? Feast your ears upon the glory that is "Sonic Adventure 7," also known as "Sonic 3D Blast 5," for the Game Boy Color, featuring vague facsimiles of classic Sonic themes rendered in the most grating, off-beat, out-of-key chip-tune that'll make you wish you were deaf.

I just remembered this one. It's literally as if somebody got a soundboard and randomly activated stuff. There's a moaning woman and a grunting guy for some reason.

The Toby Fox song in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet is really bad. It just sounds like noise.
I still can't believe that retard's overrated gay tumblr faggots game's success let him weasel his way into Nintendo. Which song is his? Is it just one?

It's a very lame song and he is a terribly overrated composer.

I picked the video for its very ironic title.

Took the time to 100% it a while back, and it was not a great experience. Played it a lot when I was younger and loved it, but being older the sheer jank was hard to put up with and I don't feel its aged well at all. Also the fact it's actually really easy to get all A ranks once you understand the scoring system, so long as the game doesn't throw you jank deaths, kinda made all the effort of trying back in the day feel invalidated in a way. Back then we just thought going fast was enough, we didn't really understand that the time was actually pretty lenient with the proper score routes.

Mighty number nine has the worst ost I have actually heard, though I'm sure there is worse objectively

It almost starts promising, but he just had to ruin it with the overloaded ASDFGASDFAASSD drops. (Actually, that's many Camellia songs in a nutshell)

In a game like the modern Runescape that has over a thousand songs in its ost, its bound to have some awful tracks. But there is only one that legit makes me turn off in-game sounds every time i have to listen to it, and that is this horrid shit.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Toby Fox actually worked on more than just one of SV's tracks, SWSH was the game were Fox worked a single song (the game's Battle Tower battle theme) and as major twist/FU to TPC it's essentially a rearranged version of The Baby is You.

As far as Toby Fox's contributions to SV's soundtrack (according to the SMC's booklet with track names taken from the Nintendo Music app) is concerned it includes:
  • "Welcome to Paldea" (with Minako Adachi)
  • "Across the Skies of Paldea" (with Go Ichinose)
  • "First Meeting" (with Hiromistu Maeba)
  • "By the Shore" (with Hiromistu Maeba and Go Ichinose)
  • Escape from the Cave (with Hiromistu Maeba)
  • South Province
  • Battle! South Province Wild Pokémon
  • Los Platos
  • A Stroll through South Province
  • Mesagoza
  • A Tune at Mesagoza
  • The Academy
  • Your Dorm Room
  • Tera Raid Battle
  • Victory! Tera Raid Battle (with Hiromistu Maeba)
  • Victory! Titan
  • Area Zero
  • To the Great Crater of Paldea (with Hiromistu Maeba)
  • Battle! Area Zero Pokémon
  • The Gate is Open (with Hiromistu Maeba)
  • Battle! Area Zero Pokémon 2
  • Activating Offensive Protocols (with Hiromistu Maeba)
  • Battle! Zero Lab
  • Victory! Zero Lab
  • Battle! *** (I sadly can't type in the funky font they use for this track)
  • The Way Home
  • The Academy Ace Tournament
  • Crystal Pool (with Go Ichinose)
  • Area Zero Underdepths
  • Terapagos Reawakened (with Go Ichinose and Rei Murayama)
  • What the Hidden Treasure Needs
  • Terapagos Goes Beserk (with Go Ichinose and Rei Murayama)
  • Battle! Terapagos, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero (with Go Ichinose and Rei Murayama)
  • Caught Terapagos!

Only one comes to mind: I can't fucking stand Electric Parade (the New York stage from Tag 2).

A shooshy haunch indeed.

Though I think the terrible lyrics and vocalist just add to the charm of Deadly Premonition.

Quoting AVGN. Don't think the 32X soundtrack is actually that bad. It's a massive downgrade, but it isn't the travesty memes claim it is.
From what I remember reading, the 32X did have better sound capabilities but the 32X port of DOOM just used the Genesis' sound chip, which is really terrible for most games (my favorite description was someone from /v/ years ago "a buzzsaw cutting through screaming robots"). So the "purr purr purr purr purr DINK DINK DINK DINK DINK DINK DINK" sounds weren't the 32X, they were the Genesis, which was quite antiquated by that time.

Fundamentally the 32X's real problem was that it was just an enhancement chip that was made into a stand-alone plug-in.
