I have mostly used ATONE.

I may switch to SLATE or the Wordlebot's preferred TRACE because I'm mad at ATONE after a couple days ago.

I'm curious what other people's opening word is? I always use slate.

I always use TRUMP because it mostly eliminates 5 consonants (Q being the 5th if U isn't a hit) and I am convinced consonant elimination is better than finding vowels, I have considered switching to STUMP since S is more common but if word of the day ever is trump it'll be slightly amusing to me.

I don't see the point in hitting a AE because there's too many words that could be and on hard mode it limits the amount of possibilities you can eliminate with subsequent guesses.

I switch up my starting word every once and a while. I've used ATONE, ADIEU, and STORE.

I use to use audio, since it was 4 vowels, until it was actually the word of the day. My one and only oneshot so far.

Now i use either aurei or adieu.

I usually like to start with "ADIEU" as it covers a lot of potential vowels. Doesn't always work in my favor but when I'm set when it does!

Thanks. Started playing Connections last month when had pneumonia and a lot of free time. I get irrationally angry at times with it but that's the fun I suppose. Like in the puzzle shown in your example I immediately jumped on credit card names and loss a turn. Once you factor into your mind the devious nature of the celestial Puzzle maker one can begin to play the game. Or at least my dumbasss is trying to.
