And oh boy, I just get this "The walking dead but disgustingly edgy" vibe. Did you think Garth Ennis was edgy when writing The Boys comic? Bitch, you havent seen Garth when you tell him to write the most disgustingly edgy shit. And I do mean that I think this is Garth at his worst.
@The handsome tard , Garths only talent is drowning his premise in 14-year old edgelord shock value shit.

Oh fuck me.

I watched the second episode, which I thought was an improvement on the first one, especially the ending.... and then I accidentally let the retarded featurette shit play while I was doing other stuff. That fucking retarded chink went

'Well what we tried to illustrate in the subway scene was class struggle, that when everything went down, the rich were killed by the poor and the homeless.. you see there's this man who tried to flee the zombies and all he took with him was a suitcase full of cash... how useless was that'

Go fuck yourself AMC how hard is it to make a fucking zombie tv show without having to try and shove communism in it?

Kind of reminds me of Land of The Dead with Kaufman taking his money when leaving Fiddler's Green...motherfucker, what do you intend to do with that money?

Its the type of thing I think only happens in these people's heads. As if they want to believe the rich would somehow be that stupid.

George Romero really lost his edgy in his last few years of life...

World Beyond is so fucking bad
What, you mean that barely tying a rock to the end of a stick isn't supposed to be a world beating weapon? A bunch of teenagers wandering outside the walled garden isn't compelling? Yeah, world beyond is fucking stupid. The concept is great, short else-world stories in the same universe.... But this cast and the story so far is absolute trash.

The first part of the final TWD season was such crap. Nothing happened, and the trailer for the next portion spoiled nearly everything that was built up through the first part.

I know I could find the information with an internet search, but TWD was so crap the last time I saw it, I honestly can't muster the heart to try.

So instead I'll ask Kiwifarms: is the TWD finally over? Or at least on its last season before it gets cancelled for good?

And if so, is there any reason to try watching it again? I haven't seen any TWD since whatsherface, the black girl who became the main character for no reason, died and wound up in a coffin somehow.

You probably missed.... a season's worth of decent/good episodes and a couple of great episodes. And a ton of filler bullshit, too.

I'd say you are better off just picking things up with Fear the Walking Dead season 4 onwards, which has been the superior show for the last 4 years or so (if that season premiere was any indication. For real. It was fucking amazing)

That's the Mexican Walking Dead, right?

I saw up to the point where they joined some Trump militia commune, and then it was just a blur and I think I gave up after that season ended. I also vaguely remember some Mexican junkyard commune? And something about the black guy owning a boat?

Was that after Season 4, or before?

That was before season 4, when the show was shit.

Season 4 was a complete reset where they basically killed off almost everyone in the cast except for 4 people (two of them the only two good characters) and then introduced a bunch of new ones like Morgan from Walking Dead and That Guy You've Seen a Lot In A Ton of Shit who plays a gunslinger. It almost immediately became a great show overnight thanks to the new cast,

I mean you can basically download and watch Season 7's premiere, it's contained enough that it's not gonna spoil you on what happened before, and you're gonna be able to tell if it's worth going back and watching it (it is)

It's genuinely a better show than Walking Dead at this point, and has been for a while. Which is quite a feat because the first three seasons were dogshit with the occasional good moment. Then it all fucking flipped.

Mexican Walking Dead would probably the best shit ever with random lucha guys showing up for a few eps and then getting killed constantly
but yeah really how the fuck is this shit still going
I remember having egg on my face of "lol a _new_ zombie comic?!? good luck with that!" when TWD started the comics, but seriously the shows have been going on for what, a decade and change? Either there's zombies or there's people left by this point.

Just have La Parka come in and start braining zeds with a chair. Entertainment value goes up by 3 points immediately.

Negan has pretty much became Kirkman's author's pet character. Both comic and TV versions.
Dont deny it, its true

Does anyone else feel like Walking Dead is a little to late on making zombies scary again considering their the ones who destroyed the scariest of the genre?

The only really 'scary' - and not even scary, just unnerving and unpleasant to think about - zombies I found, were the 28 days later viral ones; and the deadites. The former because the idea of your entire country collapsing into violent anarchy, with a mob of murderous lunatics smashing in your window and beating you to death is somehow just really unpleasant. I think because of how fast the effect spread, and how quick everyone died; there wasn't this long drawn out survival. There was just terrified collections of 1-2 people left in cities, eating soup on top of a barricaded up housing estate. No power fantasy, just rapid brutal death, or slow starvation.

Deadites, because I was like 9 when I watched Evil Dead lol.

"Late"?

More like fossilized and buried beneath the earths crust just before the mantle.
Yeah that's way I thought it was funny last night they had a "Walker" climbing and opening doors last night.

Like come on guys you blew your chance at this point.

I think the problem with making Walkers 'smart' is that it also kinda highlights how much a complete non threat they are. Walkers at this point are essentially OAPs with severe dementia. Having them get better at opening doors, and sometimes they herd other Walkers just brings it into even more focus for me.;

Yeah and ot doesn't help that they are currently doing "capitalism bad" plotline. So introducing this concept in one of the final episodes kind of ruins whatever fear factor you intend.
