I liked the time there was a midget with a backpack full of missiles like he was an SD Gundam.
He should get a spinoff instead of all these boring people.

Why did this shit fall off so hard?
Because it never had a goal.

The entire series (no it wasn't good for five seasons..it was good for like 3) is a fucking treadmill

"Find safe place"
"Build up safe place Rick learns to be human"
"Safe place gets fucking destroyed"
"Rick and co try to find safe place Rick loses humanity"

None of the series advance at any point plot wise, nothing ever solves anything.
Fuck the entire god damn zombie genre.

The Walking Dead Vs New York has a brilliant idea
launch a rocket full of zombies at the boat
then they immediately piss it down their leg by using this to...
blow up the boat like a missile, and not to drop a shitload of zombies in the middle of the boat kekeke zerg rush
why are you gay

so le mort du walk is going
you can tell France has gone through some apocalyptic upheaval
all those white people
The first season of "Daryl Dixon Goes to Paris" was surprisingly good; albeit clunky at times. It's amazing how the writers managed to completely destroy what made that season good in the (honestly unneeded) second season. I won't spoil, but it's retarded af - especially how Carol ended up in France. Like, Season 2 reads like a Daryl x Carol shipper saw Season 1 of the Daryl show, than wrote a fanfic to shove Carol into it/sideline all the badass new French characters.

Season 3 just premiered, and they're now in the UK for some reason. Also, the UK just fell (like, for the 10+ years of the Walker outbreak, the UK was FUNCTIONING. Wouldn't a functioning country that survived the outbreak been a cool concept to explore?) 'cause the writers I guess needed an excuse to have fresh zombie hordes. Also, UK zombies look like Last of Us moldly spore tree zombies, without much explanation beyond "UK is wet".

I don't really watch it, the wife does and I sorta pay attention

Season 3 is surprisingly good and I like it more than season 1.
Yeah, it turned out to be the best Daryl Dixon season (I really liked the raid episode).

But it was definitely awkward the way it started off, by bait & switching a UK season, than immediately switching to Spain.

so some episode ends with a bunch of nukes going off
I can even understand magic gas that never goes bad
but ffs how in the actual fuck are they supposed to be maintaining and fielding atomic weapons? is Negan making a speech at the isotopes?

I rewatched the series recently and just wanted to echo the sentiment that nothing was better than the first season and despite the show becoming garbage and even being sort of cheesy off the bat it's still so nostalgic. Imagine having the person who directed The Green Mile + Shawshank Redemption and kicking them off your show for not wanting to be cheap. Seasons 2 to 5 are watchable but progressively more boring and stupid, and the Terminus/Gabriel/Beth at the hospital point is where the most boredom sets in for me. It's such a shame because the zombie genre wasn't yet milked totally dry back in 2010, and who knows how good it could've been if they kept Darabont on board and actually wrapped it up after a few seasons. In the end it basically became a soap opera with zombies as scenery. I hear it changed a bit in the last few seasons (in the sense of remembering this is meant to be a show about zombies) but I've never been able to get that far and watch them. I think the peak of the show might actually have been Glenn speaking to Rick on the radio in the tank.

Jfc how is this still going?
...IDK?

I guess AMC is out of new ideas & doesn't see a problem with milking the Walking Dead IP dry....? The C list Walking Dead actors are just glad to have a job & don't care that the characters they've been playing for over a decade keep making the same dumb choices/going through the exact same story arc (but now, in Europe)?

The worst Walking Dead spin off by far is the Dead City (aka Negan & Maggie take NY) show. Mostly 'cause of teenage Hershel. It's like the writers saw everyone's complaints about Carl...took notes, than made a character with even worse traits, but also with magic plot armor. By season 2 you'll be rooting for a "like father, like son" ending & hope Negan bashes Hershel's brains in.

It might be small minded, but for me it feels weird to see a visibly Asian person called Hershel. It just doesn't feel right somehow....little Korean kid with an old white German name.

On the topic of Hershel's Asian-ness, I think it's hilarious that despite no Reddit existing in the Walking Dead universe, Hershel is written like a stereotypical angry mixed Asian male incel on all those Asian-incel subreddits (aznidentity and AsianMasculinity). Spoilers? Hershel literally sides with the evil female villain that's actively trying to murder his mom Maggie, 'cause she flirts with him. Like he abandons his mom/her community, just for the potential promise of some white woman pussy being dished out to him.
