People get negrated and shouted at whenever anyone says that a cow is minor/doesn't deserve a thread/whatever, and that's even in the Proving Grounds, let alone someone who's been around for a decade. Phil has had his own sub for years for a reason. It's warranted.

This is one of the biggest reasons why I rate any variation of the "muh pigroach luck unkillable" negatively. DSP is having his livelihood fucked with by measly DMCA abuses and then he comes back and this means he's some kind of colossal brickwall of survivalism? Fuck no, every time this happens it actually exposes just how flimsy his livelihood is and why his eyes are always rattling around in his skull, this guy is in a terrible position for someone his age and in his level of debt.
Like everything with DSP it's a slow-motion event. The ultimate destruction of his "career" will not be a big bang, it will be a fizzle.

If you get a Copyright Strike during a live stream, even if its your first one, you are unable to stream on that channel for 90 days. That's what happened to Tevin and DDM which prompted the move to BitWave.
Multiple strikes on a channel can remove your ability to upload to YouTube.
This is correct. It also goes through a review. It isn't as easy as an on/off button for channel memberships, even if you're already monetized/partnered.
Literally anyone in any thread who gives a fuck what autism stickers mean to call them negrating needs to step back from this entire site let alone step back from the thread.

Its overall bad luck, even though he can recover from each individual thing that happens. When DSP finally quits, it will be a "death by 1000 cuts" situation where its just too unsustainable to keep going. There probably isn't going to be one dramatic thing that ends his online presence.

He said more than once that he would if Twitch didn't respond to him without setting any sort of deadline, and then at the very end said "by Monday" after acknowledging that Twitch doesn't have weekend staff. So he's giving them a grand total of about 12 business hours total to designate some damned soul to be a point person on this, contact Phil, somehow work out over email only (because Phil will not speak to another human being on the phone) what Phil wants, and then capitulate completely to his demands.
I think it's safe odds to say, that ain't happening.
So I guess we'll know what measure of a man Phil really is come Tuesday.

I think @Cistern Rumbler covered it well, but I just want to add this: It's bad luck. I know this sounds weird but honestly the best thing that could happen to DSP is for him to be literally banned from the internet and never allowed to stream again because he'd have to get an actual job. I know, I know, it sounds strange but if he pulled his head out of the clouds, stopped pretending all the money coming in to him was going to last forever, and actually started working hard he'd have a future. As it stands now he's just heading down a road to destruction.
Ask yourself this: Are his paypigs going to keep this up when he's in his 50's? His 60's? I mean maybe, but is Phil even going to want to be doing this shit at that point? If I weren't a heartless bastard who wouldn't even piss on Phil to put out a fire on him (well, okay, maybe a little piss in the eyes) I'd say I wish the best for him and that would be for him to snap out of his delusions (maybe while he's still making insane money) and set up for his future so he doesn't have to live forever as an internet beggar.
As it stands Twitch and Phil's access to streaming and video sites symbolize one thing: A cage for the monkey to dance in for our amusement. And I honestly hope he dances forever and we do get 60-year-old Phil having his first heart attack live on stream because he was getting his ass beat in Street Fighter and he was yelling about lag.

Will Phil be streaming when he is 50 and 60? Yes. There are elderly steamers that get good views because they are currently a novelty act. Haha grandma is playing Skyrim!
But in 10 or 20 years, think of all the other guys who will be in their 50s and 60s. AVGN if he is still active, everyone from Channel Awesome who never got a job, and countless other streamers who are in their late 30s now.
Streamers in their 50s and 60s will be commonplace.

Watching a bit of Dave's reemergency stream. It's amazing how much he's posturing for Twitch to do something for him. He acts like he's a big shot, but relative to other streamers on the site he's pretty pathetic. He has an abnormal number of subs, but barely 300 viewers on an average day. He doesn't even make Twitch that much money since he encourages all his paypigs to paypal that shit to him.

So oddly enough this is just a thing all celebrities end up going through if they aren't big hollywood names. Personally friends with an older celebrity and most of them fade into obscurity. E-celeb streamers will be no different and if anything worse off - AVGN will last longer because people attend conventions to see him. The only thing that will keep them alive in their 50s and 60s is if they start going to conventions as low-tier guests who end up doing signature exchanges with the creepy fans they've managed to hold all these years.
