Informative OP! I’ve heard of a surprising amount of these people/caught wind of repeated stirrings of drama via the occasional post making its way to my dash, and yet I didn’t know half these names or even 10% of how brazenly they operate and talk about their honest-to-god pedophilia.

When the initial predestrogen ban drama happened I just poked around his/his defenders frequently used tags and swiftly determined that the users complaining were banned for posting violent threats and fetishistic loli/shota fur content on main and were full of shit, and expressed this to anyone I trusted who seemed fooled, but I didn’t realize how much open solicitation of CP/minors was going on.

The language in this post in particular
is such an shameless attempt at grooming that I had to laugh, or would if I didn’t know there are minors on that site who will fall for the Safe, Cool Adult schtick.

As far as your OPs usage of preferred pronouns in some cases, I don’t really think that’ll be the barrier that prevents tumblr users with more information from spilling- in that case they’d already be on kiwifarms- but I don’t find it overly confusing. It’s a great thread either way and I’m really interested in seeing how this develops. I’ll try to be more tuned in myself in the future when “TMAs are suing tumblr” “my friend was unfairly banned for being a trans woman” posts come into my orbit.

I think it's worth noting that only side blogs are capable of being password locked- you can't do it on your primary blog. That means that the missstrogen blog was running secondarily to another URL. You can prevent users without an account viewing your blog, but that doesn't show up like this and IIRC just prompts you to make a Tumblr account to view it.
