Tired Cat has been in that thread for years attempting to get people to hate the guy because he does not support Russia’s illegitimate war and caters towards a western audience. Of note from recent memory was Tired Cat defending a character known in the Russian dev scene as “Goblin” who made several CRPGs which had some… unique story telling. Goblin was also involved with Something Awful, and at one point offered Lowtax a place to stay. One quote that stuck out to me from the fellow was him talking about his Soviet cop father, whom he had a lot of respect for. In the quote he said something along the lines of “I could never be like him. I am not a good person.”

All of this points to Tired Cat being Russian as his personal knowledge and opinions of these very Russian focused personalities would imply a much more hands on experience. Coupled with his grasp on English (the average Russian doesnt receive an upper class education) it would imply his family was well off enough to support him. Him living in Europe shows that he had no confidence in his ability to remain safe in Russia, as many of the wealthy have done with their sons. Even though none of them would ever be drafted unless things were severely dire. Currently Russia’s intake is foreign conscriptions that are lied to (lotta Africans who are given a factory job and have their passport stripped on arrival and then sent to the front lines) convicts who are then released back into society if they aren’t blown up, or forced conscriptions from the ethnic minority enclaves (think Steppe people), and pensioners. I don't want to find the video of a Russian officer making an African man wear a land mine and telling the camera that they've created a superior anti-tank drone. I don't want to have to dredge up the article about Cuban doctors being sent to help in Russian hospitals only to be sent to the front after being stripped of their passports. I looked into it, and could not find a single reference, conspiracy or factual that the wall was of West German origin.
