The thread where I sperg about my shitty music. - Please tell me what you think.

So please, how about you point me specifically to something that I could improve on.

There's a massive problem with doing this because someone with ZERO technique asking ways to improve their technique makes no sense. It's like coming to a karate class, waving your arms around wildly and then asking "ok so what can I do to improve my form". You don't have form. There's no way to improve on nothing. You need to start at the beginning.

Can you please explain to me what key this composition is in?

And you know what?

Yes, you got me, I don't know what this key is.

And the point you've raised above is true, I do have very little proper technique, and it is hard trying to learn stuff without learning the basics before hand.

I don't have problem with people constructively giving me harsh criticism, cause, believe it or not, I actually do realize I'm not that good yet

But, coming in like this...

Is this thread a joke

Why is all this music so bad

Yeah I could tell. Because it wasn't awful.

Course I'm going to defensive.

Just saying.

P.S. I am also aware I looked stupid flexing over the fact I earned money from this, and I apologize for that.

How are you writing this music in the first place? Can you explain your process in more detail?
I usually start first either coming up with a beat I like or, more recently, creating unique sounds through samples.

After, I usually write either a guitar or bass melody, sometimes I write the first synth before I do both of those.

The second synth of the song usually is always the last part I write.

I should mention I write my music as if it were to performed by a six piece band.

So that would be part for guitar, bass, drums, and someone either sampling or a second drummer.

Finally, two people on synths.

You fucks thought I was gone, huh?

Nah, just working on a 5 song EP I don't want to sperg about.

However, I will be sperging about a unrelated song I started the basic synth for.

Finished up that synth.

Probably gonna sample or do the bass next.

Decided not to sample for this piece.

Did the bass, and just started the first set of drums.

Could not dedicate much time for my music tonight...

But did get more of those drums worked on.

Got those drums finished, and they are very nice.

Good chance this song is released by the end of tomorrow.

Finished the guitar, and am partway through the second set of drums.

Very good chance this song is out tomorrow.

Drums are done, but this song has turned out to be much more complex than initially intended.

Will be a day or two before I get it out.

Still being worked, it really just became a much more complicated piece than first thought.

Still slogging away on that EP.

Decided to take a break and make something else instead.

Bass is almost done on it.

Forgot to update that I finished the bass yesterday.

It's really heavy.

Drums have been started.
