Given the wealth of material found on r/teachers, I think a thread on the collapse of competence among the practitioners of the American education system could be funny.
This is a generic thread for the American education system. Most of the salt I've mined is from reddit, but other social media works too. Topics to discuss:
Teachers posting their L's, in general.
Diversity in the education system, and its consequences.
Extremist teachers getting into fights with their teenage students.
Obese/troon/mentally ill teachers who somehow got hired to instruct children
The declining standards of the profession in general.
Anything broadly related is welcome.
Starting us off:
Around a decade ago, Education majors rounded out the bottom of the IQ curve...
It has recently gotten much worse.
The subreddit will go out of its way to encourage criminal activity as long as it's targeted at "Republican" parents and children.
The most aggressive groomer allegations are, if anything, too optimistic.
These overweight, middle-aged childless women get off on threatening literal children, and should probably be in padded cells.
They get very mad when their sacred cows are mocked.
I wonder why public schools are seeing a decline in student count...
Oh. It's all the "low motivation students". You know, "teens". "Thugs". "Subway dancers".
They're on the front lines of diversity, to the point where even the most libtarded demographic in America is seeing it.
They're never going to learn, though.
Bonus: One of the good ones regales us with the state of public education. Old but gold:
It's niggers. Disruptive student? It's a nigglet. Always a god damn little niggy
I have one nigglet in one of my classes, saturday is this class last day and i couldn't be happier! Good riddance little nigglet, you're someone else's problem now, i won't miss you
That’s one thing that makes the liberal credentialism surrounding public schooling so retarded prima facie (that and the fact that nearly none of the practices that education majors end up treating as dogma are backed by an iota of empirical evidence). With all that said the worst aspects of the education system are still the endless layers of bureaucracy and not being able to remove “disruptive” (*cough* nigger *cough*) students.
Honestly, what the hell do you expect to happen when you make a bunch of, as said above, bitter, middle-aged childless women have dominion over your entire nation's children from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade and probably through college? These fucks manage to combine the worst of both all worlds. The worst of liberalism, the worst of the mainstream Fox right, even the worst of racism. Fuck it I'll just link my long ass post about this:
This book is seriously eye opening and I IMPLORE all of you guys to read it. The irreparable damage the public school system has done to nearly every child, and therefore adult in the United States of America, and in turn our society, has been ignored for far too long. Unlike most other institutions, the school system is NEVER publicly questioned because basically every human being in our country has been forced to eat its boot at gunpoint. The most saddening part is that you cannot escape the effects of this system, as even if you homeschool your children it is almost certain they will...
The system is designed to be this way. It's heinous, absolutely heinous, and at this point you can even partially blame it for the retarded behavior of nig nogs (as shown in the book).
For those who haven't listened to it, there's an excellent podcast series called Sold a Story that covers "whole language" learning, AKA why gen alpha kids don't know how to read (because they're being taught wrong).
Maybe it's different in other states or countries but you don't need an Education degree to teach (usually a subject degree, some extra classes, and student teaching) and I've never met a teacher that had one who taught for more than 2-3 years max. They either quit forever or apply for admin jobs, becoming a principal at best and a useless pencil pusher in the district offices at worst. They end up with six-figure salaries yet have the lowest IQ and least experience with kids. Why? Because they uphold the status quo and justify expanding the budget without improving education quality, which is the main goal of our bureaucratic system. School and district admin are useful idiots and while it's fun to complain about faggy teachers, who is mandating the curriculum? Who is paying for proprietary grading software? Who is buying the latest standardized tests and textbooks and tech gadgets for "learning"? Which publishers own the books? Who owns the publishers (*cough*Robert Maxwell)? Who is telling the district to go soft on suspensions and expulsions? Who stands to profit from perfect attendance, perfect grades, and 100% gradutation rates?
It is Der Ewige Admin, of course, and they must be eliminated before education can even begin to heal.
To be a fair a real liberal arts education was supposed to be able to teach you how to think through problems generally. This used to be what the classics were about and it absolutely did work wonders in terms of producing incredibly competent people.
You aren't going to get anything approaching that level of quality from either autodidactism or modern institutions though.
My theory is that it's a profession that attracts mentally stunted adults who never wanted school to end. Becoming a teacher as a way of never having to leave school permanently.

I know there's probably some truth to it, evidenced by the fact that a bunch of red states were legitimately able to improve scores, even among blacks, by ditching the NGO bullshit and going back to phonics, but I think the bulk of the problem is diversity.
Even for the White kids. They aren't meant to learn in an environment where half the class is whooping zoo animals that are exempt from consequences because consequences would be racist.
I live in one of the whitest towns in one of the reddest states and I still wouldn't let my kid go to the public school here. Luckily there's a great non-religious private school, where literally every teacher I've met is terrific (well, the drama teacher is insufferable, but that's not a real class anyway).
And even then I came within a cunt hair of beating the shit out of one of the deans for starting to bray about attendance instead of grades and what the teachers thought of my kid (it wasn't even like excessive, just approached the number that was set arbitrarily).
Homeschooling really is the way to go if you possibly can (you can).
