The Super Best Friends Super Best Griefing Thread - Matt's a cuck, Liam is a bitch, Pat's a loony and Woolie's Way is now trademarked

man, not only was this stream the worst shit ever because of muting every single trailer, but also nothing interesting was announced and TLOU2 won both GOTY and best direction among some other awards I'm forgetting
It's always the worst of both worlds with him.
cue the Hannah Montanah theme song, but it's about Woolie instead

Why the freaking hell woolie is playing Waku Waku 7, an old ass obscure arcade fighting game during the game awards? Oh my god, how much poison must a man drink until he realizes it's bad for him?

I genuinely cannot understand how woolie's head works. I thought woolie cared about twitch viewership more than youtube but he clearly doesnt since he's streaming at an awful time. It's like he is simply recording the game for youtube... but it's a lazy twitch stream that wont be edited so it's bad youtube content anyway. It's always the worst of both worlds with him.
He gave his reasoning some time ago about why he doesn’t stream award shows (or any live show) and it’s because he thinks they’re all lame and it’s easier for him to watch the trailers after. He doesn’t take into consideration that everyone already knows this but viewers like watching game award streams for the shit talk and personalities.

Basically Woolie really doesn’t understand how streaming works and he’d rather shoot himself in the foot continuously.

It's fine if he doesnt like award shows but then he could simply, not do anything and play games one other time? This isnt even a matter of streaming, it's a matter of competition. If you want to release a product, you probably want a date far away from the release of other bigger products that will surely overshadow yours OR divide your consumers.

Does woolie know what "competition" means? I guess not since he's completely unaware of his channel's issues and cant understand how things suceed or fail. It's like Woolie has become such a "nice guy" that he automatically respects everyone elses opinion, meaning he respects nobody and the only thing that matters is how much arbitrary fun he had experiencing something.

Woolie is basically that guy who does everything wrong and everyone tells him so, but he refuses to change or improve solely because "It's been working out for me so far, that's just how i feel man, it is what it is."

So since when did Pat and Paige turn their Twitch VoDs to subs-only like the podcast video? So much for seeing their (and Plague's) reaction to some Game Awards stuff.

EDIT: Apparently Pat did this a couple of months ago as a defensive measure against Twitch's DMCA shit. He might undo it in the future, but I wouldn't count on it.

Sucks as I may want to go back to some of his old VoDs for games I wanted to play for myself first, and this revelation is certainly discouraging. The YouTube archives are still there, but I vastly prefer having the Twitch chat alongside the VoDs, and Pat doesn't do any sort of chat overly to compensate.

but wouldn't it be fine since it's a stream of a stream? of Game Awards no less? I refuse to believe ppl who organize this shit did not make sure that ppl could stream it on Twitch without muting it every 2 minutes

It isn't fine - Twitch is having a gigantic issue with DMCA issues because no real "streaming" license exists.

For the better part of 2020 record labels have been using bots to crawl nearly all content on twitch (even deleted VODs/clips/etc) and has been serving Twitch gigantic piles of DMCA notices to which, allegedly, Twitch was just ignoring. The response from Twitch more recently has been to delete streamers content and tell streamers "don't get us DCMA'ed because we aren't going to protect you at all" - hence all the absurd muting/stream antics from Pat and other streamers.

So, no, Twitch as a platform has done 0 preparation for this and isn't likely to do so in the future. Pat (and any other streamer on Twitch who can accept subscriptions) has also signed an "exclusivity" contract - meaning that if he streams live content - he has to do it on Twitch, meaning he's stuck doing this stuff in the vain hope it helps him in the future.

It's worth noting that DMCA bots can crawl content as it's live, behind subscription walls, and even content that the streamer has deleted from the channel manually (because Twitch still keeps it on accessible servers).

I'm (obviously) not Woolie but he's probably thinking "Everyone is going to be streaming the Game Awards - so I'll have a stream not streaming the Game Awards to grab people who do not give a shit about the Video Game Awards!". It isn't a bad idea, generally you should avoid doing the thing that everyone is doing unless you've got something unique to add to it (see also - the 10,000 people streaming "Among Us"/whatever other flavor of the month game to 0 viewers).

He could play something that he's really into/that's really new to try and get an "introduction" to a larger audience that doesn't want to watch the VGAs and try to make those new viewers into fans.

Why on earth he went with "Waku Waku 7" I could not tell you. Literally any other game would have been better - but that's Woolie.

To bring some positivity, Matt and Liam stream was fun, they actually seemed to enjoy the show and the trailers, their reaction to Ark II was a remainder of the best days of SBFP.
I have to agree, as much as I like throwing rotten fruit at Matt. The dude actually showed genuine excitement for the trailers he saw, more than I say about Pat really.

I am enjoying it too, altho having to sit through all of the Last Of Us 2 dicksucking again now with Liam also saying how good it is is painful

Yakuza 0 LP (2017)
Pat: "I love using the 'pre-crisis' terminology. It's gonna apply to us one day"
Matt: "I think we're in pre-crisis, but it's around the corner."

I felt that...
pre-breakup Matt and post-breakup Matt

pre-breakup Pat, post-breakup Pat

Because he thinks he's special and that people will always watch him no matter what bullshit he plays.

too awkard or boring and that probably let them to reconsider if the channel continuing was a good idea or not

And on the other end of that is one of them gets super butthurt and a giant argument starts or they never even recorded as whatever happened went down when they were all there before they recorded so the video doesn't even exist.

I still want to know what happened on that week/day because Matt skipped the podcast that week and Paige was on instead. Then it seems like videos just stopped being recorded except for the planned fisticuffs which they were still prepared to do as of the day before then the day after the channels dead.
