It's an old soviet field telephone, probably a TA57. The crank is a dynamo, used to generate ringing. They basically hook up the output wires to the body and when they turn the dynamo they get a nasty, pulsing shock. It's widely recognised as a form of torture

Posted on a different day, the girls hit each other with what I think are stinging nettles. Haven't seen this punishment before, a break from all those onions a couple weeks ago.
