I know this thread is really dead, but I just wanted to post the Speculara's bio on the Video Game Ideas Wiki.
It brings some interesting facts to light:
-MrEnter, as Speculara, thought of himself as a "one-man company."
-He used to play Runescape, and listed (but didn't) his account (as Brovania).
-He used to be a Gex fanboy.
-He listed two of his (by now, defunct) email address'.
-He said that he had been active for two years. Being that he said this in 2009, it's possible he had accounts dating as far back as 2007, but none have been discovered that were made before 2009.
Also, before I quote the whole thing, here are my favorite quotes:
-"Speculara has been active for around two years now. And now aparently it is the self-proclaimed President/Head of the video game ideas wikia--until someone decides to stop me who has some power above me." (viacom)
-"You can call me Johnathan, but I'm not giving you a last name. I'm not giving you an age either. Gender is obvious, you perverts." (that last sentence)
-"Yeah, I can be sarcastic sometimes but I'll try to avoid it sometimes." (...)
Also note how most of his ideas seem really boring, like "Speculara Trivia" and "Speculara Board & Card Games."
With all that said, here:
"
Who/What is Speculara?
Speculara is a one-man company/corperation that works in many areas of media, which include (but are not limited to) video games, poetry, fiction, rpg games, comics, and web design. At this time Speculara is a not-profit comperation, but I will accept donations (just kidding, keep the cash). Speculara has been active for around two years now. And now aparently it is the self-proclaimed President/Head of the video game ideas wikia--until someone decides to stop me who has some power above me. Atm, I don't think there is anyone in that position. So yeah, moving on.
Who heads Speculara?
You can call me Johnathan, but I'm not giving you a last name. I'm not giving you an age either. Gender is obvious, you perverts. Yeah, I can be sarcastic sometimes but I'll try to avoid it sometimes. If you want to know my favorite video game genres to get a good idea of what I'll be pushing out into the wiki: rpg (think Baldur's Gate); simulation games (think the sims); platformer (think NES games/Gex the Gecko); FPS (think Return to Castle Wolfenstein); horror (think Silent Hill/Condemned); and music (think Parappa the Rapper).
How can I contact Johnathan/Speculara?
E-mail him at
Johnathan111@charter.net, aim him at
SpecularaWriter@aim.com (that would have to be your last resort), or contact him on Runescape: user account Brovania. Yes, he does play runescape. Yes, he does like to write in the third person.
What is Johnathan/Speculara Working on now?
Currently he is working on a few games, most notably Gnome Knocker, Mission: Zero, and The Lost Lands series. The first one is a platformer, in which you eat picnic foods and fight gnomes. The second one is a game where you go on secret agent-type missions and use your brilliant mind to solve puzzles and investigate weird murders, it's sort of inspired by Condemned 2. The third one is basically an RPG series, except that all of them take place in entirely different worlds. Take a look at them!
What games are there that Speculara/Johnathan has finished/is working on?
How about I make things easy for you and write a list. Please note that these games may or may not be completed in this exact order. They are just the order that I think of them.
