I really wish an old game that hasn't been released in English before had gotten the Soul Hackers treatment instead of us getting a game that most old SMT fans have already played. That said lol at no FemC. Fuck you troons.

I was concerned about the total cast overhaul, so it's heartening to hear that they are actively trying to mimic the old actors.
People keep predicting the Answer as DLC, but does anyone actually want it? FeMC story is unlikely, but I can imagine they'll try to include her in some form, most likely as a bonus boss.

The Answer/FEMC are only worth doing if they're expanded on in any way, which they won't be.
If they were going to integrate FeMC, they'd do it in a way similar to the other Persona Remakes - just by jamming her into the main story awkwardly (think Marie or the P5R girl) and forcing cutscenes/an extra month/an extra dungeon. I'd go so far to suggest that if they did that it would be to give P3R a "good ending", which would negate The Answer entirely.

I mean, Persona is increasingly just a power fantasy, so it makes sense for it to have an unambiguously happy ending now.
I'm not sure if I prefer that to bittersweet stuff like how Maya can't see her friends again because it risks Nyarlathotep returning yet again, though. That one sucked a bit too much, especially for Katsuya Suou.

I wouldn't be surprised if they added a new ending to P3R. Margaret's dialogue in 4 and especially the Arena games were already hinting at undoing the seal being a possibility and they already copped out of Shinji's death in Portable.
I don't think I would be happy, though. You don't need to kill your protagonist, erase the party's memories, or do the same shit every Law and Chaos ending does to have a good story, but you should be willing to commit to at least some form of hardship or tragedy. Unfortunately, looking at the continual deluge of power fantasy isekai being spewed out by the anime industry that's just not what the market wants. Shame, I rather liked Devil Survivor.

I would be surprised if they added anything to P3R just because they're so adamant about not doing that. Unless they're going for a FF7Remake level swerve, they're pretty committed to just a somewhat standard remake.
I'd imagine that if FeMC is in it - her social link would have her dying as a tradeoff for Shinji and MaleMC surviving in order to "correct" the timeline.
I think "The Answer" will get thrown out entirely and they'll (if anything) just have a side area in Tartarus, like the sea of doors, that has the 2v2 or 1v2 boss fights from the end of that game.

On the topic of dubs, I'm at least glad that the option for dual audio will come by default as opposed to the original Atlus games on PS2. Not only that, but Japanese voice overs will be re-recorded. The audio quality on those games is horrendous, all of the characters sound like they have throat cancer and speak very quietly.
On the other hand, this just seems like vanilla Persona 3 with a Persona 5 skin and controllable party mod. Kind of autistic to point out but even Makoto runs exactly like the Persona 5 mc, in the original games he ran with the hands on his pockets because "characterization".

So Erica Linebeck, the VA for Futaba in Persona 5 and Asahi for SMT IV: Apocolyse got cyberbullied so hard she DFE'd her twitter.
The reason? Someone using her voice put it through an AI and made a cover of Welcome To the Internet. She allegedly politely asked them to take it down, but stans of hers cyberbullied her so hard she deleted her shit. I try really hard not to be MATI, but her boyfriend, Billy Kametz (Maruki from P5 Royal, Josuke from Diamond is Unbreakable), died last year from cancer, so I can't imagine she's all put together still.

They have tens or hundreds of hours of you already to feed into an AI. You saying "Aha is this my chance" on a shitty phone recording at event isn't going to tip the scales.
Fucking hell, I knew Erin was just a mediocre VA who's not good as Chie, but it comes to no surprise that she has her dumbass leftist beliefs, especially about how AI is a babadook that "took our jerbs."

Its insulting how Persona 3/5 Dancing had far more polish and care put into it as a glorified QTE simulator back in 2018. They even had a few arenas from The Answer in it. Yet all they are recycling here are the character models.

Circling away from Persona and pivoting into mainline SMT for a bit: I’ve finally “completed” the main story of Strange Journey’s Chaos route. Mapped out all of Horologium, so now I’m just ploughing through EX missions and farming formas for better gear to use in the final fight against Pillar Zelenin.
Can’t even front man: Frost Cannon and the Kresnik vest you unlock in Delphinus has basically carried me throughout the bulk of the game. I haven’t really put much stock into crafting equipment barring rather irksome boss fights (ie Asura, Ouroboros).
Enemy Search C, Unlock E, and Gate Search E we’re all acquired too, so now I get to thoroughly explore all the non-NG+ locked areas of the Schwazwelt.

Yea, I know people are reacting to my post very questionably, but I think it's time for me to reiterate. See, Erica Lindbeck is a good VA, but she's not great as she's done a lot of pretty lackluster roles. Plus as with every other VA (and also other celebrities), she is an absolutely butthurt bitch cunt and one of which is due in large to her sperging out over how AI is taking their jerbs, which explains why I wish AI can come sooner or later to take over the industry.
