The saltiest a game has ever made you

I played Hotline Miami 1 on the vita and barely survived. Then years later I played it on PC with mouse and key board and got As and Bs on every level.
Yeah, I had always played on Keyboard and Mouse. S rank means chaining a combo through every enemy, including on hard mode. Which means harder levels AND they're mirrored. I nearly had a stroke 100%-ing that game, gave up twice and wanted to punch a wall so bad. Never gotten NEAR that mad at literally anything else in my life. Never broke anything though.

I could never fucking do that. I always played the game by luring enemies to corners, but over time you start to be more adventurous.

Only games I’ve gotten mad at are “””party””” games with friends, like the wii one on the big volcano island where you had to play mini games and rolled dice on the map. That’s the only time a game has gotten me ridiculously angry while not in setup (looking at you, ttd)

Sometimes I drink too much and try playing games like Wolfenstein on the hardest setting. Needless to say, I'm absolute shit. The night ends with me being a sulking, stressed, drunk mess. Then when I'm sober I wonder why I haven't made any progress on the games I've started.
I'm just gonna try growing some beets and getting married in Stardew Valley next time.

The Ending of Mass Effect 3
I'm still mad
I will always be mad.
On my death bed I will be mad.
When the seas heat up and the world falls into global catastrophe I will still be fucking mad.
In the afterlife, when I get to the gates of Heaven, St. Peter and his angels will ask me "Are you still mad about ME3?" My answer will be yes.
When the race of man is no more and the ruins of man's cities have crumbled into dust, I will still be mad.
Ancient alien civilizations will find the smoldering, volcanic corpse of planet Earth and decode the secrets of the ancient "internet" and they will find this post and so my eternal anger will be brought forth into the far-flung reaches of outer space.
When the last tiny flash of heat in the universe dies and all descends into entropy, my hatred will remain.

I'm still so fucking mad I took the time to write this stupid fucking post and I'm not the slightest bit less mad. I fucking hate you Bioware.

I like Dark Souls 1 but there's so many things about it that annoys me. Specifically the lack of fast travel, how picky fast travel is (it can't just be for any Bonfire you've gone to because the reasons), the Bed of Chaos, just in general important NPC's being so far away from Bonfires it just makes it a chore. Like the Four King of the Abyss. Great fight but why the fuck make it so you have to start all the way from the beginning if you die once? It doesn't need a Bonfire right next to the boss but something so it's not as tedious. Then you have weight restrictions that force you to use Havel's Ring and I find myself revisiting it the least out of the trilogy even though I've gone to NG5 with it.

Don't even try The New Colossus, even after it was patched the game is complete broken on the harder difficulties.

I played Final Fight a few nights ago for the first time after throwing my lot in with the vastly superior Streets Of Rage games and decided to give it a try.

Someone part of the team that made that hot steaming pile of trash thought it was a great idea to not give you any invulnerability frames making it so that even after you're knocked down, you can still get the piss taken out of you by rolling barrels, having your friend throw enemies into you and the AI take a million health from you each hit in addition to them being also able to hit you while you're down and you spend the vast majority of the fucking time getting stun locked to death where even your fucking special isn't enough because literally a half second goes by before they are already up, surrounding you and stun locking you to death again. If that wasn't enough they can fucking jab you out of the air the moment you jump, or if you're playing Haggar, they can actually jab you out of the dive bomb throw move which is his actual best move. They can jab you out of it. They can jab you out of the air at any fucking point. If I didn't have unlimited lives, I would have never been able to finishing this shitty fucking game. I'm never playing that game ever again.

After eating a spoonful of actual dookie, I had to play Knights Of The Round to wash the taste of Final Fight from my mouth. I wouldn't even wipe my ass with that game.

Trying to finish a certain Rollcage challenge level as a child. You went too fast into a corner? You careen off the track into space, because there weren't barriers to stop that (like Rainbow Road). Slowed down too much for that corner? You fall off the track into space (because a lot of it was upside-down and you need to go fast to grip inverted surfaces).

Probably Sekiros final boss. I’m not gonna blame the game though. It was my own fault for only getting half of the prayer beads, so I of course had low health.

Don’t know why, but I deleted that save file and restarted the game. Restarting the game was fine, but there was no reason to delete the file. Eh, can’t go back now though.

Went through the game again and instead went with the Shura route.

Excluding multiplayer? Not any, really, aside from games I waste money on. Like Paper Mario games after TTYD. Otherwise if they're difficult I just quit.

As a kid I got pretty pissed though, not anything YouTube worthy like the freakouts you see there, but I threw controllers and shit sometimes.

The first boss battle against Zagi from Tales of Vesperia is super difficult since you don't have any special abilities and Zagi can stunlock you really easily and then kill you in like 2 hits. And he has two phases. I got through it eventually, but I wanted to throw my Switch out of the window by the end of it. One of the most unfair first boss battles I've ever done.

The meat circus level of Psychonauts. I remember there was one jump that I kept dying at that was near the very end of the level.
Otherwise if they're difficult I just quit.
Unless I really like the game I do that too. Games are meant to be fun, IRL is already enough of a struggle. I don't want life to be anymore painful then it already is.

My first time playing Bloodborne, I attempted Rom the Vacuous Spider way before I should have. I tried for about 4 days with a low level character, and the final time I died, he only had a sliver of health left.

I threw the disc in the case and heaved it into a corner, where it sat for a year and a half. Then, I got a bee in my bonnet and decided to try again with a new game, and beat the whole thing (Rom included) over a period of two weeks.

EDIT: I'm still pissed that Half Life 2 ended on a fucking cliffhanger and I'll hold that grudge against Gabe Newell until I die.
