A theatre down the street from my school has the Room's poster on the side with the words "Coming soon" AUGH YEAH
So does that mean they are going to do a theatre version of The Room? Can the lead actor capture the charm of Wiseau? Can the guy playing Mark have the same beard? Can they get a guy who gives an all-star performance of a drug dealer who wants his money?

It's a movie theatre

Oh, for some reason I thought more of those performance theatre's than a movie theatre due to the word "theatre" being used instead of "theater. Never mind then I got to improve my vocabulary. Still imagine if someone tried to do recreation of the Room but as a live performance within a theatre.

Hey all! I went to "The Disaster Artist" tour last night. I'd never been with enthusiastic Room fans before (the one screening I went to was really tame, no spoons or yelling or anything really). It was a great experience and I loved the energy! Even if you've already read the book, there's a lot of new things to see and learn about the making of The Room. Some of the fans were a little...you know, and some of the Q&A was wasted on questions that it was obvious Greg wouldn't have answered ("Where is Tommy from?" etc), but all in all it was such good fun! I got to meet Greg and get my book signed. Might post a picture of us later when my friend sends me it.
I didn't get to read Lisa when he brought out some copies of the original Room script, which is in fact, crazier than the movie. (:_( I did, however, get to ask Greg a question about Tommy's "vampirism" (he does take it really seriously, especially in how much he avoids the sun). If you can, I really highly recommend going.

So this book.....I KNOW what I'm putting on my Christmas list!!!!!!
Same here. Hearing about the book on this forum along with looking it up really makes me wish Borders didn't close down a few years back. That was the only bookstore I knew of.

Where I live there are still Books a Million and Barnes and Nobles, and they sell books at various grocery stores and stuff. But for special books like this, I would just get it from Amazon.

Did you get to see the documentary? I can't believe he has a copy of the original script, I hope it's leaked someday as I'd love to read it. 'You are not drinking your cognac, dear. It will taste good with pizza'.

So would that cognac actually be the drink that Johnny consumed?

You mean after Lisa "already ordered a pizza"? The book doesn't mention who says that line, but it's probably Lisa. The book also doesn't mention what the drink in that scene's meant to be, but I assume that it's intended to be vodka + cognac, or vodnac instead of scotchka.

Ok guiz, if the original room script ever comes out I demand that the cwckiforums do a reenactment of it

Dibs on the part of Lisa

Can I get the part of Chris R.? He is my favorite character, showing great passion in his anger and asking for where his money is.
