I know / have known pooners irl, mostly nb ones, but none of them had any history of sexual assault that I was aware of, and none of them expressed anxiety about potential sexual assault, they were too busy having anxiety about literally everything else. I've known a girl, an ought-to-be tomboy, who mostly fits the above description. She'd long been interested in "boys" things (erector sets, Lego, that sort of stuff. Super smart, always in advanced classes. Then came menarch and puberty. Body changes. Her mood changed. Social anxiety. Later came the coof and a year of online only schooling. All the fear porn around COVID added to the anxiety and social alienation. Add social media and all of its degenerate influences into the mix. That and the fact that a couple of her smattering of friends were really fucked up as children. Poof! One day she declared she was enby, they/them, please; oh aye, call me "genderless name."

The enby stuff didn't last long, and went straight into poondom (chest binding, talking about wanting "T," top surgery, etc). Apparently, she wants to look like her bald, fatass father.

Her family is hoping this is all a phase. Oh, dearie me.

The anxiety angle is interesting. I've seen it discussed on KF before & I've talked IRL about the similarities between anorexia/eating disorders and trans-ness. How, in a way, both are about exerting control over oneself to counteract feeling powerless. General anxiety's been on the rise and with current doomsaying (climate change, economic crises, etc) so this kind of behavior makes sense.

I think a lot of girls don't know how to handle puberty. A lot of my friends have said they felt sex ed didn't prepare them. And the push for LGBT+ material to be included is only making it worse.
PL It was cringe at the time, but when I told my mom I got my first period she gave me a high five. In hindsight, it was supportive and encouraging. I also never got "the talk", but my mom gave me puberty books I went through on my own.

Btw, I'm trying to dig into u/zggzy (the one who posted the literal shit pooners) since she's interacted with babyx3. Just her reddit history shows that she's from Indianapolis, started heavy drinking at 15, TIF, grows her clit, but I think she also describes herself as a TERF? She describes herself as a "mutilation fetishist" who's interested in "the extreme" of body modification. She claimed to have been involved in hundreds of surgeries at a gender clinic. Disturbing in combination, but I'm fairly sure she's a liar given that her supposed year of birth is 1999 or 2000.
 
Farmers! I saw a pooner in the wild today! It was an obese latinx. Several things I immediately noticed was: 1. Manlet height; 2. Side swept dyke haircut; 3. the pube beard on their small chin; and 5. their huge breasts! The combination was so unsettling, that it took me a full minute to process what I was seeing. If I were a son of a bitch, I would’ve snapped a pic, but trust me guise!
