I would agree that they're more closer to the desire for (and achievement of, if I were to be so generous) acceptance, by just wanting to transition and get on with life in their newfound existence. That said...
If we're being honest, they pose no threat to any male space specifically, or even in general. As noted here, you conceded to what many reasonable person would when encountering a woman: being cognizant of, and caring for their feelings. Especially since this person was just existing and not being an aggressive degenerate (or even being a brokingdude™ (broken dude, just thought of that...)). For which, you spared them of not even really transphobic (because to them its always is) mockery, but a reality check. All because you really didn't want to deal with hurting their feelings, rather than the potential of physical threat (or at the very least, violent sperging) a MtF would deliver.
However, to cite someone who states it better than I ever could...

This Pooner is more like what I started to call a Poonlord, a Pooner that has mastered the art of looking like a fat Soylord manlet, like you said if she kept her shirt on she'd go unnoticed at the Bar I drink at, as long as she doesn't talk too loud with the frog voice or order a strawberry daiquiri or some shit lol. (She actually reminds me of Eddie from Silent Hill 2 lol)
Looks like her teets got yeeted by Sheev Gallagher with a chainsaw looking at those scars, but overall, this Poonlord has "got there" and would be an inspiration for any L'il Pooner.

You can tell she has hips (not much you can do about those) but being short torsoed and built like a construction worker means it doesn't immediately jump out at you. In all this is as successful at "passing" as I've seen a Pooner, more so to me than even the roided out Buck Angel types who, as jacked as they are you can still tell have female muscular development.
The "Dad Bod" helps her blend in. I've seen genuine male Doods at the site built like that, 9/10 on appearance 8/10 overall, only let down by the mastectomy scars and weird nipple placement, and the obviously female way she responds to comments (one thing that always gets them Clocked even when everything else passes muster).
