https://youtube.com/watch?v=pDxn0CD41b0 New Simpsons Monopoly go promotion short. One thing that bothers me is that did they do anything to make Mr Burns's voice sound like how it was before? I get a very strong feeling that they used AI voice cloning on Harry Shearer because Smithers's voice stills sounds the same in the clip.

How did Mr Burns remember Homer's name without Smithers reminding him?

I hope someone got fired for that blunder

watching when Otto drives old people to the casino, he's yelling along with Frankenstein and Aqualung on his walkman
then in Aqualung he encourages the seniors to join in

it's a nice little low key "Otto is really really high" bit

On one hand he’s high; on the other hand he’s got music taste.

What's the tl;dw? I don't listen to this faggot, I guess something pissed them enough to break the illusion Simpsons is good for hating Trump or some shit.
He admits that his optimism from a season or so ago was misplaced and that the latest season is a return to the (sad, pathetic) form the show has languished in for the majority of its run at this point. Not much more to it than that. It's a short video if you really want to see a gay autistic mcfurfag eat a little crow.

As Troy McClure said sometimes parts of episodes are cut out for airing on TV.

One such part is 0:33 and on in this clip:

Itchy and Scratchy - Goodbye, Poochie - isscartoons

Well kids, we all know that sometimes when cartoon characters
die, they're back again the very next week. That's why I'm
presenting this sworn affidavit the Poochie will never, ever,
        ever return!

Back when I saw Simpsons reruns on TV in the '90s, I never saw that part.

I never understood why so many people were suddenly defending the last few seasons. Granted I don't watch new Simpsons episodes, but I do watch some Simpson YouTubers like TheRealJims so I am aware of some of the things that they have been doing in newer episodes.

One of the vibes that I have been getting is that new Simpsons is in some ways trying to milk the sympathy card with faux emotional moments and deliberate pandering with "feels" so to speak. One of the things I have been noticing is that they seem to be really trying to flesh out every character in the show a lot more and provide some more background that makes you understand who they are. In some ways it feels like they have turned into a worse King of the Hill: a show about different human beings and what moral lessons can be gleamed from their experiences.

Like that one revelation about the fact that Homer delivered Todd Flanders so Ned and Maude gave Todd the name of Homer for his middle name. That isn't what Simpsons is about. Classic Simpsons would laugh at something like that.
