My gym recently renovated and now has a hot yoga room, and they do back to back hatha, vinyasa and yin classes some days so I load up with electrolytes and sweat the fuck out. Highly addictive stuff, but in a good way.
Been a while since the last reply, but I look back fondly on the two years I did yoga in college. It really helped me zone out and actually relax for once, not to mention the health benefits like the better quality sleep I used to have at the time and improved digestion to avoid tummy aches. If any kiwis in here ever see an ad or a chance for free yoga classes, be sure to give them a shot and try sticking with it for a week hopefully.
My only gripes would be that my teacher was a bit too intense sometimes during the exercises (maybe intimidating newcomers), and how hip chakra days made my bones audibly and awkwardly crack at times when it was dead quiet in the room. Just minor stuff, not actual complaints.
