I personally feel nuts, seeds, kernels and kin are a fantastic foodstuff (in moderation of course) and that they need some love. Come give your nuts some love in this thread.

I have adored hazelnuts (or filberts if you prefer) for a while now, to the point of seeking them out in nut mixes when no one else would. Hazelnut syrups are fantastic in coffee and Nutella is the ambrosia of the gods. Pumpkin seeds are also criminally underappreciated as a snack, and are a critical component of green mole sauce. Peanuts are commonly thought of as merely being a snack or as peanut butter but learning to cook Thai has taught me their importance in a lot of Asian cooking in particular.

Pistachios are amazing, until you get that rotten one and then the trauma causes you to put the bag away for a few days until the salty goodness draws you back into the danger zone.

I noticed at Walmart yesterday that they now have hazelnut creme M&M's.

Too bad I'm allergic to hazelnuts.

As a kid I briefly lived in an apartment with pecan trees in the yard. Apparently I ate a lifetimes worth of pecans off the ground, because I fucking HATE them now.
