I tell that Frog joke of Norms and it kills 8 out of 10 times.
I discovered it's an old joke told before decades before Norm retold it on his podcast. In a strange way Norm seems to merge the past, present and future of comedy into his style.

He had a talent for making dumb jokes sound intelligent and intelligent jokes sound dumb.

He’s the only person who made explaining the joke even funnier than the joke itself.

I miss Norm :(

I assumed as much, but since he calls him Kermit Jagger and says Mick Jagger fucked a frog I'm going to still call it his.

He did another series where he moved to the country and lived in a small town.
That's called "A Minute with Stan Hooper" and I like it more than The Norm Show. It's a strange turn because Norm actually plays the "straight man" while the whole town around him is completely ridiculous. I highly recommend checking it out.

I binged The Norm Show a while back and found it ok. I agree with the others that said it is pretty standard sitcom fare. Season 3 really didn't need to happen though, it was pretty much a dead horse by then. I also expected to get sick of Laurie Metcalf's character but she stayed surprisingly endearing.

The episode where Norm bangs Vicki Lewis in a teddy bear bra made me wonder how much better the last season of News Radio could have been if Norm had been cast to replace Phil Hartman. (Nothing against Jon Lovitz, but man, he just did not work for that show.)

My favorite Norm Show quote:
Dickweed: "Hey, pal. You can't just take my dog!"
Norm: "Buddy, we're social workers. We can take your kids if we want!"

By coincidence (or so the Germans would have you believe) I mentioned before here that my favourite Norm skit is Cobras and Panthers. He acts as a straightman in that too. When his son read jokes to him in his podcast, he was the straightman. That's really interesting.

Reviving this dead thread to say I watched both Screwed and Dirty Work and love them both. Of course, they ain't the best films ever made, but, they didn't need to be. I find them funny and that's all that matters.

Also, Semi Charmed Life is a bop.

Its been decades since I watched Dirty Work. I preordered the "Dirtier Cut" of Dirty Work and plan to watch that when it comes in.

I miss when comedies didn't hold back.
