When Payton had Brees he actually ran a similar system but WRs needed to run the correct route every single time and get to where the ball would be thrown. Feels strange to get rid of Daboll now. The Giants were finally looking like a real team with Dart starting. I'm guessing the front office/owners already knew they weren't going to bring back Daboll next year and want to see what they have in Kafka. If he stinks, too, at least they'll know and can start from scratch.

Part of the problem is that Daboll was only using Dart to keep his job and wasn't properly managing him correctly. Dart has already had way too many close calls with the concussions. If Dart really is the future of the team, management doesn't want Daboll deliberately injuring him because he was attempting to hold onto his job.
