genuinely what happened to Darnold? I know most people will just say "he went back to what he always was" and I can't entirely argue with that, but he was actually impressive in games this year, much moreso than you'd attribute to some fluke, so what's going wrong now? Is it the bright lights?

It's only halftime and this is already the most (6) times Darnold's been sacked in a game this season. The second most (5) was against Arizona on December 1st.

This is why you don’t buy hookers the night before the big game.

Lions hit the factory reset button on him.

More realistically, he’s figured out and O’Connell is figured out. Goff was a Ram under O’Connell and O’Connell was an Offensive coordinator under Sean “Receding Hairline” McVay. The Lions basically shook him and from there it’s looking at the film and doing what the Lions did better.

I think you're partially right, but that wouldn't explain his completely off the mark passes and absolute refusal to get rid of the ball in these last couple games. Maybe it's a little of column A, a little of column B

That’s what I mean. Most likely the Lions discussed in film if Goff recognized the system O’Connell utilizes and then the Defensive analysts looked over where Darnold fucked up. The Lions aggressively pursued the strategy of “make Darnold spill spaghetti”.

Then the Rams looked at what the Lions did and refined it.

Combine that with Darnold getting glazed prior to the Lions game where everyone and their mother favors the Viqueens and then they only gets points via field goals? The Lions buck broke him and now the Rams are continuing the buck breaking.

Glenn figured it out. Darnold folds like tissue paper under pressure. Seeing ghosts again. Helps that the Rams D-line hasn't lost a step without Donald. Verse is unreal.

Genuinely has there been a more pathetic display in the NFL playoffs than this fucking Vikings team? I knew they were gonna break my heart but Jesus Christ this is so much worse than I could've imagined
