McNeil is out with a torn ACL and Davis is out with a fractured jaw.

The Lions effectively are a gold star offense with a defense pulled off the street.

The Lions season right now is like a monkey's paw. "Detroit will have their best season in years bbbuuuutttttt their defensive starters will all slowly go down to injury"
David Montgomery is out with an MCL tear. It effectively is can they limp their way all the way until they get some of their defense back.

They probably can honestly, stranger Cinderella stories have happened in the NFL.

Kirko has thrown a TD for the first time in a month :)
He still somehow threw a pick to the Raiders :(

Week 5 bye, 3 games in 11 days. League did Detroit dirty, what a shocker.
Not a dirty as the Chiefs. Week 6 bye, 3 games in 12 days in November, 3 games in 10 days in December. The Lions got a 10 day break before the Bills. Chiefs got an 8 day "break" between those 3 game stretches.

I know he sucks but throwing a rookie in for the last week's of a season while still knee deep in a battle for the NFC south seems stupid.
The Falcons are a game back and I don't see the Buccs dropping any of their last 3. Penix is their future, however dim or bright, and nothing is better for a young rookie QB development than playing in games with minimal consequences.

As a Bucs fan I hope you're right about them winning out.

Only guys that are left for the Bucs are Dallas, NOLA, and Carolina. Meanwhile the Falcons have to deal with a Washington team that is experiencing hope for the first time in over 20 years.

I'll let you do the math.
