It's being reported that the Giants are benching Daniel Jones.

160m well spent. I don't understand these absurd contacts for QBs who are mid at best, or in his case, pretty bad. Who decided that this is the franchise QB for the Giants lol.
And then you have guys like Mayfield and Purdy who played for a pittance in comparison and still delivered above and beyond their expectations.

Dude should really just accept that he can't process a NFL-caliber defense and convert to a tight end already
Like, it's either that or the purgatory of being a career backup
EDIT: Also if Joe Schoen isn't gone gone this winter, well, that'd be a classic move by the Mara family

They're also going to be starting Tommy Devito instead of Drew Lock. Is this tanking or do they really think Devito can do it?
It is absolutely tanking
I know Lock has had his rough periods, but he was a lot better in Seattle than he was in Denver. They're cynically starting the dude who was a meme last year and will get butts in seats for the Maras while also aiding in the tank because Lock might actually win them some games.

Jones wasn't this visibly frustrated when Garrett was on his way out, I think Mike McCarthy might actually have to hire a security guard now.
It's been a bit, I don't remember if he was this upset with Wade Philips or if that particular firing was just because he REALLY wanted Jason Garrett to take over.

Woody Johnson has picked Joe Douglas as the next scapegoat for the Jets defense falling apart and their retirement age QB, coming fresh off of an achilles tear, calling his particular favorite plays (because the OC is just some guy who makes him laugh while they watch film) and not being on the same page with any of his targets failing to win games.
