yea, I agree, especially for a QB who gets injured quite often in the 2nd half of the season. But one thing Lamar would do for the Panthers is get the fans to show up and for their games to be moved to Sunday and Monday night football. But 2 first round picks, that's too much.

I don't buy it. I think they have a QB in mind on who they are going to get. This is the season of lying, and they are probably lying about this right here. At best, I think they are trying to bait someone who wanted that first draft pick but didn't put together a package yet or some team realizes they aren't going to get what they want in free agency and decide to trade up. For all we know, the Bears might have moved too early
I'd imagine Panthers would be fine with the #3 pick as part of a double trade to move up to #1.

Irsay probably has bricks of cocaine and copies of Levis' college highlights randomly showing up on his doorstep.

And according to Frank Reich, the Panthers are willing to trade the #1 overall pick which they just moved up to get the Bears. I have no idea what the play is here. I could be proven wrong in the future but the top QB prospects this year don't scream must have for me
Has Frank Reich been rewatching Draft Day or what? Asinine idea to trade #1 after moving up for it.

Some quick hits since everything is going by so fast

-Case Keenum is signing with the texans to be their back up behind the number 2 pick

-Jawaan Taylor signed for the chiefs on a 4 year deal

-Mike White signing a 2 year deal with Miami. Probably confirming Rodgers to the Jets

-Jimmy G signing a 3 year 67.5 million dollar deal with 34 million guaranteed with the Raiders

-Jason Kelce returning to the Eagles

More updates

-Jameis resigned with the Saints as a back up

-Sam Darnold signed with the 49ers. Reuniting him with CMC

-Taylor Heinicke signed a 2 year 20 million dollar deal with the Falcons

-Kaden Elliss signed for the Falcons for a 3 year, 21.5 million dollar deal with 11 mil guaranteed

More updates to come later

I'm actually kind of shocked by this. I figured that bridge would be burnt to cinders, and Jameis would at least test free agency to see if there was a quarterback needy team that would be willing to take a chance on him as starter. His agent must have come to the conclusion that there just wasn't much of a market for him.

This is very unfortunate, but the Saints probably couldn't have matched that salary, considering their cap situation.

Technically not a double post, since I posted hours ago, so don't get your panties in a twist:

The Vikings have agreed to a one year $13 million deal with former Saints edge rusher Marcus Davenport.

Sadly, can't say I'm surprised. No way the Saints were going to be able to pay Marcus this year with the cap situation the way it is, so this has long been expected. Just got to say, him signing with the Vikings comes out of left field. Apparently, Vikings outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith asked to be released. This might allow that to happen.

The Panthers also picked up Shy Tuttle from the Saints as well, another key defensive loss that stings a lot more. The Saints also lost David Onyemata as well. This had not been a good day for the Saints defense.

However, the Saints have also agreed to a one year deal with Michael Thomas, so there's that.

The Jets have signed Allen Lazard to a 4 year, $44M deal. Considering his name was apparently on the list of “people Aaron Rodgers wants to retire with”, him jumping ship might be more likely.

I’m going to die laughing if he announces his retirement tomorrow.
The fun theory is Rodgers just taking his time to make sure all his friends get paid and then he can retire

Wow, can't believe they didn't fuck it up. Well, at least this part. Can't say they didn't fuck it up until the draft happens
If they can nab Skoronski or Carter with the #9 I will be thrilled. With the signings in recent days I think the only things that still need major improvement are the lines on both sides of the ball. A little addition to WR and especially the D backs will help to. I'm not too worried about RB, I think we can get someone serviceable in the draft and I also think Herbert is very underrated and could carry most of the load of they don't get Montgomery a new contract.

The bears are far from contenders still, but in the last 5 days they have become a significantly better team than they were at the end of the season. It's an exciting time for anyone who is a bears fan.

The Cowboys are about to cut Zeke Elliott, meaning this wonderful play is, in fact, his final snap wearing a blue star.
I almost hope he retires so it's his last snap ever, but even Zeke can cut it at the backside of most RB rooms in this league.
