That said, my conspiracy-addled brain thinks the game is still fixed. I thought it would be fixed for the Chiefs, but I also heard about all of the boo-ing.

When I watch NFL I generally root for the Chiefs so it's been odd the past couple of years to see people saying "fuck the Chiefs it's rigged and they have plot armor". Naturally I see it differently. Hopefully after this super bowl we can all come together on hating a different team who has plot armor and it's rigged for them.

The riggery happens for whatever team holds the "face of the league" money making player. Brady got the same ref plot armor and lots of people hated the Patriots for it.

You can only rig or play favorites for so long, though. People are gonna eventually tune out if refball continues to only benefit a reviled top dog. Like with election fraud, you need plausible deniability to pull it off.

If it were fixed for the Chiefs, then the Chiefs would've won. They had no business ever beating the Eagles. The Eagles are the best they've been in the past 20 years and reign uncontested in the NFL currently. The Chiefs are a Dynasty Team for the last several years and are the weakest iteration of their former selves and are on the down swing. In a fair game, what happened last night is what should've happened.
