Spurs are here to stay, their roster's young as hell. Dylan Harper is a legitimate contributor as a rookie. I think Spurs-Knicks will be a real series and it'll be interesting to see how both teams game plan against one another.
There are like two players in the league that can defend Wemby and the Knicks have one of them, plus they can rotate with a five out since they have better shooters than OKC, so that will limit his defensive impact.

It's really not going to be easy for the Spurs here.

They're bringing it back

I came here to post this lmao

We used to be a results based society but we've reached record low levels of cope in "the data shows we're actually winning" as a team gets their shit pushed in. There's a stat in soccer called XG that I can't stand when it's brought up because it's the same as here, it's just a weaselly way to say "we deserved to, and should have won" instead of just fucking winning.
This expected goals nonsense is starting to show up in hockey as well.

Chet is the reason OKC went home (along with Caruso's shot going cold at the worst possible time but he gets a pass because his defense was the reason the series went 7). He was completely invisible offensively. Ive never seen someone so tall get bullied so badly while onnoffense.

GO KNICKS!
Only saw the end of the 4th quarter but looked like a bit of a choke job from the Spurs. Crazy stuff from Brunson as always. I will watch the full replay later, but I am not that surprised this happened. The Spurs are relatively inexperienced.

EDIT: Upon watching the replay, KAT was the reason the Knicks won. He got some great buckets on Wemby but I was more impressed with how he defended Wemby. Brunson had a pretty poor game until the 4th quarter when he did his thing as always. It was a good game but as usual both teams took way too many threes. A 7'5" guy like Wemby should never be shooting 9 threes, that is just ridiculous.

Última edición:
The Spurs' youth was exposed a bit in this game, I feel. They seemed noticeably messier compared to when they were playing OKC, not moving the ball around as well and having some trouble adjusting to the fact that KAT can shoot so Wemby can't camp as hard in the paint and dare the enemy bigs to take those shots. We should be in for a real series, I liked this game. Good amount of lead changes and heading into the 4th all tied up is neat.

Josh Hart was a HUGE part too. He might actually be the most VALUABLE player in the NBA this year. If were actually basing it on value. He is just all over the floor doing everything, and this year hes been hitting the big moment 3's. Him and Anunoby have been playing their asses off every second of every game. Even Brunson and KAT have bad nights. These two just haven't!

Great comeback. And Brunson clutch as always!

Knicks have been underrated for a while. I still got New York taking it home.

Knicks were doing a good job keeping him out of the paint and intentionally fouling whenever he broke through. Had him shook. Anunoby, Robinson and KAT are all capable of restricting his movement and if he gets trapped between the perimeter and the paint you're likely to see a "what the fuck was that Wemby" type shot.

Probably should've spent the offseason learning the skyhook instead of hanging out with monks.

i remember why i don't watch niggerball, what a gigantic waste of time
spurs go on a 14 points run in less than 2-3 mins in the 4th quarter
brunson misses everything
and now it's all tied up (ofc)

i legit feel like a 70 iq gorilla nigger watching this
