Magic City Night was officially canceled, but it's still funny that it almost happened. This reminds me of an old story I read about on Wikipedia. Apparently Shawn Bradley was fined a thousand dollars for refusing to attend a team meeting at a freaking strip club because he's a Mormon. What kind of sport organizes team meetings at a strip club? Did nobody see a problem with it? How is someone supposed to talk serious business with strippers dancing on a pole in the background?

Yeah, now that you say that, Embiid did look equally promising and then started collecting injuries. The human frame just can't take that kind of punishment for so long. Although Kareem did manage it back when medicine wasn't as advanced so maybe he can.

One of Embiid's high school coaches said he was always dealing with back problems. I think it's just kinda something he was born with rather than overuse.

He's one of the biggest "what if" players IMO

Funny how the guy who spoke out against Magic City night - Luke Kornet - is also white. Can black people really not see that strip clubs are not wholesome family entertainment?

The refs have no clue what an offensive foul is anymore. I bet if I go back and watch it will contain Bam just charging in to defenders and getting the whistle.
 
The Wizards genuinely just fouled the shit out of Bam lmao. They're all like 18 and 19 year olds and for some reason they didn't figure out that they can double team him until he was at like 70 points. This was also basically how Wilt got his hundred but even sillier because it's fucking Bam Adebayo of all players. This is the most March Basketball thing ever.

What if it's just real though and this is how he is now that would be funny I think
 
Another thing to note: The Heat were fouling the Wizards with 5 minutes left up 20 just to make sure Bam got the record.

This is the fakest and gayest record of all time and a great encapsulation of why the NBA fucking sucks now and why you can't take any modern stat seriously. Now in 5 years zoomers will unironically tell you "ayo Edrice Adebayo is better than Kobr because he scored 83 frfr gng".
