The Matrix Resurrections Thread - Woah

If you've read literarily everything else I've said in this thread, then you'll already know that I'm not at all defending this film, this series, or even the creepy troon siblings who made it all. but...
Without having seen the new Matrix film (and I won't) I bet can give you something even stupider to read, under the guise of it being a phony recap of a new Matrix Film. Let's go!

That Colonel Sanders-looking fucker from the first trilogy, whose name escapes me at the moment, somehow revived both Neo and Trinity after the end of the last trilogy.

They've both been living in a new Matrix since whenever the last Matrix movie came out.

All of a sudden, a radical group of trannies from the "real world" break them both out of the simulation again. (Including this entirely different black man now playing Morpheus, who is still a man... But a drag queen in the real world.)
Very quickly, both Neo and Trinity find out that Trinity is actually a man in the "real world" outside of the matrix. (She's still played by Carrie Anne Moss for some reason, just with an even more dyke haircut) She*He* decides to rename himself "Troonity" and he is in fact the *real* ONE, not Neo.

It turns out, there are actually group of robots who only made it *look* like Neo was ever the one in the first place. Let's call them P.A.T.R.I.A.R.C.H.Y. (No, I don't know what that acronym stands for, and I sadly don't care.) And they're responsible for us all thinking that Neo was the protagonist of the first 3 films in the first place... Troonity was actually the hero all along, even though he is now supposedly a man as well.

This isn't a plothole, it is an intentional decision by the weirdo troon siblings.

This is a reference to how men are better at women sports than women are, and so men make better female athletes than women do.

TL;DR Trinity kind of sucked, that's why she died, until he became a man.

Eh I ve tried to watch it and I m just skipping around.

about the light stuff.

It woulda been nice motif if the modal scenes were done with a lighting style that matched the first movies.

Then with NPH's version of the "martix" you have the natural light shit.

But honestly the pacing and themes of this movie dont appeal to me but the Wakoski's can make movies and they make their own shit. I like speed racer and cloud atlas.

The "first layer" of the story is cringe and basically the writers sucking their female dick. Many elements below that layer have potential but fail
due to them being in this movie - if that makes sense. Some ideas would've served well for a science fiction movie that isn't Troontrix.

The first forty minutes actually felt like this might be a real movie with something interesting to show. Then it turned into... whatever the hell that was.

And one final sentence of the movie is something along the lines of making the sky rainbow to remind people about endless
potential or possibilities. I think that's all you need to know.

Also, the actual final sentence (post-credits scene) is about how they should have made a series of cat videos instead and called it The Catrix. Can't say I disagree.

It’s certainly a very personal film, given that it’s about the creator of “The Matrix Trilogy” and the pressures and expectations that come with that. AH: We were aware because you bring it into The Pit, all that’s happening in the world, so we talked about specific things. Obviously, we weren’t involved, but the first Matrix was so present in the world while also being ahead of its time. So with this movie, too, we were deeply embedded in the time, early 2019, but also we were thinking about the future. I had to catch up with them on that.

AVC: The scenes with the Analyst were especially pointed. He’s using some of the terminology of right-wing radicalization like the conservative retort “facts don’t care about your feelings.” Was it empowering to write a rebuttal to the weaponization of Lana and Lilly’s work?

DM: I suppose the short answer is yes. I don’t see myself as a frontline fighter in the culture war, but you also want your work to mean something, to have an ethical edge. One of the many reasons I’m proud of Resurrections is it does have that. What I’m trying to say is, I think the film has integrity, and perhaps that’s the source of the integrity.

AH: I concur. There is a bit of a difference between my and Mr. Mitchell’s situation in that. Well, he’s a kinder person so he doesn’t get angry as much. But largely because I live in the United States. The Pit is a kind and warm space. We don’t argue or get angry with each other. But I am infused with a need to confront some of the things that are taking place in this country. That was the case before and after.

But we did not set out to get into arguments with right-wingers. I think, at some point, there was a joke about Red Pill and Blue Pill, and Lana decided that she did not want to give any credence to that position, even a semblance of dialogue with that. There’s nothing to talk about with that.

AVC: It’s like having debates with creationists. By inviting them to the podium, it’s a tacit endorsement that the idea is up for debate.

AH: My personal position is I don’t discuss things with Nazis and fascists. There’s nothing to talk about. One of us is just going to be left standing, and I want it to be me and my people.

Yeah this is accurate. The original script had humans being used as wetware for the machine AIs to run on. The studio thought people were too retarded to grasp the concept and insisted on changing it to something simpler, like humans being used to generate electricity.

Just seen the movie. Probably the funniest fail of the year. It's like a fan film made by a troon who took all the money in the world to encrypt some pro lgbtq tweets and use them as some kind of message to the world.

Soundtrack is forgettable and the poor CGI as well as camera work can't shake off the feeling of watching some kind of triple A low budget movie.
Imagine 5-10 dudes in a room with drugs and a very expensive PC. That's what this is.

The movie does the same thing the new Ghostbusters movie does: actively showing and reminding the audience how good the first movie was.
But Ghostbusters had the decency to not shit on the characters and happenings of the first one. The Matrix does that without even knowing it
and I can already see Lana Wakowski setting up a 200 part tweet about how homophobia is the reason for the bad reception of this movie.
I'm surprised the troon didn't make Smith look like Donald Trump. Ah and Smith. Smith is now more fresh and more cringe.

So in conclusion, unable to capture the magic/lightning in the bottle that was the first one? It's always the same with these remakes/sequels decades after the original. Hey look, we got the same actors, but older this time, right? It's the same thing as the Star War sequels. It's lightning in a bottle for a reason, it's a product of it's time, it was a success because of the time it was made and the cultural zeitgeist of the time, and it will never strike the same decades later, because things have moved on.

So I've seen it. I can sum it up in one word: Unnecessary.

There's no reason for this movie to exist. There aren't really any stakes. There's not much danger at all. It really just feels like fan-fiction. I didn't feel like anyone was in any danger. What, you ressurected Trinity and Neo just to kill them again? You're not going to do that. NPH and Dennis from 'Its Always Sunny' are the best parts, but they aren't in it as much as they should be. The claustrophobic danger of the first movie is nowhere to be found. Where just people are straight up getting merked and nearly the whole fucking cast is dead by the end. That's long gone.

I mean, if you like the dumb fight stuff of the Matrix sequels (not the original) its just more of that. The action is honestly boring, the story is mediocre. It is nowhere near 'The Last Jedi'. I have absolutely no idea where anyone would ever get that comparison. There's no subversion, its pretty much what is to be expected. The media is completely wrong on every level. There is no trans allegory, there is no 'reclaiming of the red pill', this is not the 'Last Jedi'. It seems that they were doing everything in their power to get people pissed at this movie for some reason, for some reason which I cannot honestly fathom in the least. There's not really any progtard shit at all. Which I do give it credit for. But however, you know how there are parts in comedies where you can tell 'audience laugh here'? There are parts in this movie where they expect people to go 'Audience, clap/cheer here' and it falls completely flat because there's no tension at all.

It isn't particularly bad, it isn't particularly good. Which I guess is the best you could honestly hope for.

The problem is that this movie is WAY too self referential. The first 30-40 minutes was meta and basically the Wachoskis sucking themselves off. It was awful. The rest of it is basically mediocre. I did enjoy NPH and Dennis as Agent Smith. The villians really were the highlight even if they didn't get to shine.

Everyone but Neo and Trinity are literally fanboys.

After Revolutions, part of the machine world joined the human resistance. The part that didn't resurrected Neo and Trinity. While doing that, for some reason, some
reason being plot, both of them create way more energy for the machines than the old ordinary matrix. But it only works if both of them are together - love I guess.
So these 2 are basically powering the new Matrix.

In this movie both have powers, Trinity developing hers towards the end of the movie and makes it look like basically gender swapping Neo. But it's not that extreme.
It's just both of them can fly at the end of the movie.

I could be wrong in the details. I didn't make any notes and I already try to forget about this piece of shit.

Yeah. Its basically NPH took over the Matrix and Neo and Trinity are like super energy generators because minds make more when they're just close to something they can't have. But if they're together, you know, love overcomes all and breaks out of the prison and shit.

The "action" last 40 mins is absolutely boring. There's no atmosphere, generic music, no choreographed set pieces. It seems like the reason they recast Smith and Morpheus is because even Keanu is too old to fight.
