You realize they're flirting with total socio-economic collapse due to low birth rates and a rapidly aging working class because they're historically xenophobic and don't want to allow immigration and millennials there don't want to reproduce because traditional japanese society is toxic as fuck right? What's crazy about that is their conservative politicians want to close their borders to keep the young people from leaving as if that's going to fix anything so they've clearly learned nothing.

Many of their office buildings still use technology from the 80s because their boomer workforce is too dumb/stubborn to learn how to use anything made in the past 20 years and individual government issued IDs are a recent thing there as well which is crazy for a country that's supposed to be a tech juggernaut. The next 30 years will see a lot of significant changes in that country for sure because if they don't adapt to modernity reality will simply do what it does to anything else that doesn't adapt and kill it off.
