The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

One of the better examples is Fight Club, if you didn’t see the twist coming, a second viewing makes you see all the little details which were building up to that point.

Weirdly enough, The Book of Eli also does this. First time you watch it you think the twist is utterly and beyond retarded.

Go back and watch it again however, and you start to notice the foley artistry is far and away over the top for what's actually needed for the scenes.

Are any of these fucks actually suing or is this just peacocking for those sweet nerdrage shekels?
That's why I don't give a shit for the vids. I'll care when some of them actually file and prove it.

Since Sony definitely would lose beyond delaying them to death, and probably would be willing to settle to avoid it.

"The greatest trick a magician learns is the ability to convince the audience that 2 + 2 does not equal 4, If you do that, it means that at the end of the trick you get to reveal that 2+2=4 and everyone will be amazed" Penn Jillete (I think he was quoting someone else, but I can't recall)

Nothing I hate more than nerds crying about spoilers. That Breakthrough guy, who seems to be a legit paid shill, saying anyone who posts spoilers will be banned.....

Spoilers don't make or break a fucking film/game/book IF the story is good. It's why knowing the spoiler for Empire Strikes Back doesn't take away from the experience, it's spoiler is part of pop culture now with multiple movies referencing it - somehow Star Wars continues to gain younger fans who weren't around when they were first released.

The concept of a "spoiler" is stupid. Always has been. "MUH EXPERIENCE!"
The "first impression" is built upon myths that being spoiled will ruin an experience. Like I said, we can already observe this just isn't the case. The Sixth Sense is still considered a brilliant film while the twist in the movie, like Empire Strikes Back, is now part of pop culture.
I have to preface this by saying I 100% agree with the sentiment, because these days the biggest whiners are capeshit (Marvel) fans. It's not possible to "spoil" a Marvel movie. The stakes are always at their highest, and in light of that nothing else matters. Meanwhile, who lives and who dies is transparently driven by outside factors. A capeshit movie is a function that takes a binary number and returns a binary number, everything else is just flashing lights. So most complaints about spoilers on the interwebs, by volume, are baseless and deserve no sympathy. That said --

Well yes, muh experience, that's what entertainment is for.

Now, most products are shit and if a "spoiled" movie is no fun anymore, you can watch a different one. Unless you made arrangements to watch it with friends or something. One of the users here flogs a completed series which I'd been "spoiled" on, and know I'd hate the ending and therefore the thing as a whole. As it is, it's no loss for anyone, but if we were friends, I could've enjoyed watching it and discussing it with him.

A good movie doesn't become worthless when "spoiled", but it's a different, and repeatable, experience. Watching something unspoiled is non-repeatable, and the more rare the more "classic" a movie is. If you don't get that, you miss out on wondering what happens next and the ideas this speculation can generate.

If you don't know the story of the Star Wars OT, you might think, "Would I kill the guy who killed my father? Would I assassinate him, or kill him when he surrenders? Would be willing to ally with scum and villains and offer them places of power in a post-Empire galaxy? If I have to choose between killing the guy and trying to save a friend, what'd I choose?"

Knowing what will happen casts a different light on the characters' actions and morality. Characters in fiction often take radical actions with extreme results either way; knowing the result beforehand biases your "would a reasonable person assume that..." judgment.

The most obvious effect for me is in horror games. I'm a huge pussy regarding them (games only, not movies or books), to the point I'm too scared to play. If I watch or even read a walkthrough, the game stops being scary. Even the sparse, spoiler-free walkthroughs: "Go three screens to the left" - whew good, it means there's nothing scary in these three screens.

You know whats ironic? Amy mostly writes male main characters who are likable, even lovable, strong, straight, considerative but still flawed humans you can root for (same goes for most of the characters around them).

Cuckman mostly writes female main characters who are unlikable, even hateable, weak, homo/tranny, inconsiderative but stil a mary sue none the less you will be forced to play as (while most characters around them only serve them and/or the story that orbits them)

Really makes you think, huh?

I wonder why even pay for "game design gurus" when you can shitpost all day on forums during downtime and get tons of better ideas for free?

And lol at this "strong woman" fad where "strong" means can't lose a fight with a man. It's classic nerd's girlfriend fantasy who beats up school bullies for him. I'm amazed Sarkeedroids even buy into that shit.

Speaking of which, Joel's journey does resemble a Golf Club.

I guess it comes full circle. Unceremoniously.
I didn't play the first game so could someone enlighten me, why the hell would someone travel all the way from Texas to Massachusetts during a zombie outbreak, and why would you travel all the way into Colorado and Utah from the east coast?

One last question, what happened to the Mormons? For those who don't know Mormons have a practice where they store sizable amounts of supplies, if society collapsed Mormons would get through it better than almost anyone else.

Well this drama’s getting interesting with Breakthrough asking Quaterpounder to debate him. Also, kinda confirmed that Breakthrough isn't paid by Naughty Dog? It's confusing at best. But this will be a funny debate if he roasts the Quaterpounder hard! 🤣

Mormons were not prepared for the Current Year Apocalypse. The strong survive.

There's a 20 year time skip from Texas to Massachusetts. Years of being a wandering raider survivor ultimately led Joel to MA where the game's main events start. They go from the east coast to the midwest because the "good guys" that will use Ellie to save the world have a "lab" in UT. Of course ultimately you find out the Fireflies are full of shit and are incapable of producing a cure.

ARE YOU ALL SICK OF STUPID PUN BOOKS YET?! BECAUSE I'VE MORE COMING IN!
  • WHY IS TLOU 2 GAME OF THE YEAR?! BECAUSE YOU GOT PLAYED BY IT!
  • WHAT WAS JOEL TOLD WHEN ASCENDING TO HEAVEN?! "WELCOME TO THE CLUB!"
  • WHY WAS TLOU 2 LEAKED?! BECAUSE EMPLOYEES WERE TAKING THE PISS OUT OF IT!
  • ABBY ASKED SKELESEER "AM I A WOMAN YET?!" CRACKED SKULL REPLIED "WOAH, MAN!"

I don't know much about Troy Baker except he's the voice actor for Joel and that's it - but it feels like he lives vicariously through Joel or something going by his last Twitter rant of I AM JOEL.

No, you're fucking not, Troy. Joel was a fucking chad who took out an entire base of bastards that were going to dissect a 14 year old. You're acting like a limp wristed pussy who obviously cares more about your paycheck than what made TLOU so appealing to people and would rather play dead than fight for that. And to talk down to fans like this is such a shitty thing to do.

Mark Hamill is also an apparent Trump hating leftist, but even HE was disgusted with what Rian Johnson did to his character. He took every passive aggressive shot at the films because even he knew they were an insult to everything Star Wars was.

I don't agree with his politics - he bitched at Ivana Trump for posting a picture of her kids wearing Star War costumes for God's sake and that was a pretty pathetic display. But I can respect the fact that he obviously saw the bullshit writing in Star Wars for what it was and at least TRIED to fight on behalf of the character and the fans.
... but Mark then changed his mind and said "yeah, Luke was right in trying to kill his overly powerful nephew who's scared off his fucking rocker already. I mean, he will literally become SPACE HITLER in the future, wouldn't YOU kill SPACE HITLER if you had the chance? Beforw he actually became evil?!"

Of course, trying to kill an emotionally off child ended up driving him to be a villain. Because being a parent/uncle and doing basic shit like helping him sort out his emotions, especially in STAR WARS where they are tied to superpowers is "too hard"; murder the little shit and be done with it!
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present my frankenstein'd low effort original mayme content simply titled

"choking it"
Unironically islamic and my favorite one yet!

I now want to play "The Book of Mormon, but with shroom zombies".
