Maybe it deserves it. I agree that it's stupid to say "This game sucks, therefor all the previous games sucked", but at the same time there are games that don't hold up without the hype propping them up.
Oh man, my hype level just went through the roof. Time to stealth kill everyone but fucking brutalize only certain names and people. Only kill non whites with extreme aggression and then waste the extra bullet on the corpse after you're done if they have a generic name like tyrone.

The problem with Bioshock Infinite in my opinion is not the meta aspects of it that people just don't "get" or appreciate, it's that fundamentally Bioshock Infinite was completely wasted potential and jettisoned all the interesting aspects of Columbia (the tears causing quantum mutations among the population where they'd be fused with their alternate self Philadelphia Experiment style, the vigors being reduced to just plasmids stolen from Rapture instead of something original, all the talk about Elizabeth needing to be quarantined given no in-game justification and instead just a classic princess locked in a tower with no rhyme or reason than Columbia scientists being meanie poo-poo heads) in favor of preserving a meta plot that honestly was cliche by the time it came out. "You are video game character, you must do video game things, isn't that weird?" is up there with "gunshot fade to black" when it comes to babbies first indie arthouse project. I am not advocating against its inclusion, but when there was so much promised and so little delievered... it's kind of like TLOU2 with zombies jettisoned in favor of "you have to shoot a dog that somebody loves, isn't that sad?" idiocy.
Or heck say what you will about undertale but in that game you have the choice to kill or spare every enemy. The game never forces you to kill anyone and then rub it in your face how bad of a person you are despite the fact yTou had no choice. the game is only hamfisted about the "killing is wrong" as you want it to be

Yes. I tried pointing it out its all about the owners and people got super defensive about it.
My problem with Infinity is that in first bioshock center of attention was on extreme take of ideology, and fiction elements were used to challenge this ideology, while main focus in infinity is on fiction elements and ideology/setting is just a background.
