But you know whats the big difference?

RE4 is a great ass game that brings joy to whoever plays it everytime. A labour of love that is appreciated and loved rightfully so.

TLoU Part 2 is hardly that so when they see Ellie and Abby's dumbass faces appearing again and again to sell you the same experience again and again, you cant help to notice the absurdity (if you are still sane, which a good number of gamers arent, being nigger cattle and all).

I have no faith in normies. I fully expect that, after the Joel in One scene, they'll be talking about how it was "such an unexpected plot twist" and how they can't wait to see what happens.

Normies consume because it doesnt take a lot to do so but gamers legit invest time and skill into it (and to be fair, even then, it doesnt stop gamers from being normies but lets focus on those that arent). They just gotta sit in front of the screen and just shut off their brains for some time and there, over. Gamers gotta put more hours and pay attention to details to prevail and finish the experience, thus it sticks with them more.

We controlled Joel and we were able to put ourselves in his shoes better because of it. He earned our respect as a character as we were able to make him reach the end of his story.

Normies just had to watch Fag-dro Pascal acting like some tough survivor (when, lets face it, he looks like he wouldnt last 1 year while game Joel not only looked like a mean mf but was actually built like a brick).

So if Joel dies, they will be able to move on because its just how their brains are wired. Entertainment took advantage of that for years.

I recall even that The Truman Show poked fun at the average normie viewer "empathy" when Truman finally left the set and the show came to an end. The viewers, once seemed so emotionally invested and wanting to do something to help, stared for a couploe of seconds before shrugging and saying "Eh, what else is on?" and changing the channel like nothing happened.
