Another movie that clearly was a stand alone thing but it made money so now, we get a bunch of sequels that get progressively dumber and more expensive.
The 1st one is silly but still kind of grounded in reality and you can suspend your disbelief enough to have fun with it.
2nd one is when they introduce shit to expand on the lore a bit and it gets really stupid.
3rd one is very fucking dumb and cartoony, everyone talks like someone read Shakespeare the day before writing the script but they didn't copy any of the depth, just the way they speak, it's also full of really weird stuff which might or might not be somebody's fetishes (like the Gypsy woman burning the cross on Keanu's back, fuck was that shit?).
Based on the trajectory, the 4th and 5th one (both being made at the same time as a single long movie split into 2 parts) will be insane and retarded.
Want to test this franchise?
Get someone who has never watched these movies to watch the 1st one and then the 3rd one right after that.
Take a shot every time they say "What the fuck?" or "Why?" while watching the 3rd one.
You'll die of alcohol poisoning but it might be a fun ride.
